My piece of sh!t CompUSA (Waikele, Hawaii) would not sell me the books for .01 or even .88. The chick rang them up and then went to ask the manager and she came back and said that they would be 4.99 each. I told them that they could keep them and I'll just order online.

The store in City of Industry does not have the sale, I just checked. There is a clearance section which has a 50% off books though. But nothing close to 1 dollar books. I don't think this is nation wide.

lol, it IS nationwide bro, the price on the tags dont matter, print out the ones u want, and include the sku and mfg number....make sure they are the same ones, and the ring at .01, so they will say i cant sell em, cause .01 means send it back, tell them to goto compusa.com, check the sku's, and its .88cents, an dthey HAVE to sell em for that, or else it is misleading, and illegal - sine compusa shows it has em on the website and stores

My Price After Tax: $14.34

I didn't know the prices will only show up on the counter. I did not see any game strategy books there. Basically, I have to go to the site and write down the proper #s then take it to compUSA and show them? I thought some books that were at B&M are not online, so there will be no way to tell which books are discounted.

yeah, write down the sku numbers, and the ISBN numbers or manufacturer numbers...and make sure they are correct, and u get me for 88cents each...i got al the books that i am really interested in, but couldnt get em before cause i dont 1000 extra bucks to spend..and its not a weekly deal, so it could have started last month, just be their before they are all gone...cause they arnt commin back...DO NOT ask them to find the books for you though, cause then they will pull em off the shelf right their and say you cant buy it, you gotta get it first, then tell them its 88 cents, *cuase it will ring up at 0.01, which means its not to be sold* so then when that happens, you show em the interent add, and say it shows you can buy em in store, and if you dont sell it to me, that is missleading, and as a matter of principle, you have to sell it to me *of course in polite way*

We are all looking for bargains on here, buy what you need! Thanks for his post. I checked online last nightg and saw all the books listed but they were not available to be ordered (at least not where I live!). I went to CompUSA in Rockville, Md at 10am and purchased The Deitel C++ cours, Deitel Perl Cours, Deitel TCP course, the CCNA Virtual e-lab, The Deitel Web Proramiming Course, CISCO Intertnetworking Basics, and the Win Me Secrets. I went to the check out fearful of how they wold ring up. I had the printout from the website with me. Low and behold, each book rangup at .01 and the cashier said, "wow, this is a great deal!". I paid .08 cents in cash and left immediatley, feeling like I just robbed a bank! Thanks for the Post. The Rockville store still had some of the titles left. Good luck to everyone!
