Anyone bought this recently? Is it still actually Crucial brand? Currently $65.98 shipped.
The stick I bought a month ago is working well, but I have this thing where I'd prefer to use same-brand memory in my computer..
I got my RMA back about 1½ weeks ago and it was crucial this time -- the first time, it was a generic that didn't boot.
Currently, at $57, it's a pretty good deal, but if you need it fast I'd avoid CNetPC. The shipping speed is acceptable (about 4-5 days to ship), but the RMA turnaround time it horrible. Case in point, I sent RMAs back to Newegg(CA) and CNetPC(NJ) on the same day, but it took CNetPC 1½ weeks longer than newegg to get my RMA back to me in PA. According to fedex tracking, CNetPC had my rma'd ram for nearly 3 weeks before an RMA was issued; conversly, newegg had the rma'd mobo for 3-4 days before the replacement was issued.
Given the $$$ value, I'd probably still buy from CNetPC (just not when I'm building a PC for someone).
