Is there a website? I'm looking for the KT7A raid.... The anandtech pricewatch shows your board going for 139 elsewhere so I'm not so sure how hot a deal you've found.
Raid basically useless for me after I hooked up my abit KT7A-raid. I have only one hard disk drive--IBM 45G, don't waste your money on raid, this stuff is basically for servers.
Yes, you can set the raid to 0 (strip) or 1 (mirror), but for people like me who have only one hard drive, it's almost useless, as long as you have less than 4 IDE devices.
RAID still works with less then 4 drives, if you have two you can still stripe or mirro, just not both, and who wouldn't want the extra speed or security. Raid is for everyone who can afford to have 2 or more hard drives.
I just bought this board from Newegg for $135 + $10 shipping (Fed Ex 2 day saver). That's the cheapest anywhere on the Net right now because all the vendors on pricewatch have the board for $135 + $12 or so shipping.
They don't have a website yet, they're local computer store in Los Angeles area. You can call them and you tell them you see their ads on the local computer magazines and they'll honor that price.
