i would pay for it. but as i understand it's up to the person if they want to subscribe or not. it's not a mandatory subscription.
as for paying $2.50/month... that's nothing! from all the money you've made/saved from HD, you should be happy. And to show that you are grateful for this service, I would pay. It's not much.
Maybe if they offered a lifetime subscription for like $60, i think i'd definitely pay for that!
It would be a serious mistake to ever charge for a forum. People will just leave to go elsewhere which will have a rippling effect -- less posts, less visits, eventually it will be empty here. Cold deal!

Sad the days of the free internet are vanishing. Hot mail starting to make it pain to use free service, but all the problems that they are creating can be resolved by paying for service. Anyway I would go elseware.
People are too cheap. The people that create the deals make the forum. What if those that did pay were the big contributors and stayed here? You know FT is the only thing closest to AT. I was there for awhile when they first began, and helped it thrive but they seem to have a few bad apples there that made me leave, one ex. luckyme at FatW.
BTW how much have you saved from here? I know it's lot more than a measly $30.
Well if anyone even bothered reading the link, $30 get you more PMs and a faster server. Why shouldn't they charge if people want more functionality. They are still keeping it free. Can't you people read?
for myself it really depends ... if the content on these forums continues the way it is right now or gets better, I'll probably pay ... but what I'm afraid of is that the people posting all deals will not jump in .... hence with lower frequency of postings the forum itself will slowly die ... people will just go to a forum which has the most deals ...
