Many people got their confirmation starting on Monday Aug. 22, but your not alone, others haven't received any email as well. I got my confirmation, and later another email to contact them about shipping to another postal code (work) from my home address.

Got mine late last week but didn't have time to get it up and running until last night. I'm another 533fsb northwood user: a P4-2.8b. 533fsb and single channel RAM castrates these things so badly.

Stock speeds I got 11316 and 5122 in 3dmark03 and 05 respectively. 50.6fps in Doom3 1600x1200 HQ demo1. Using Cat5.8.

Highest speeds I can get with ATITool without artifact/errors is 573/576. Doesn't seem like much headroom on memory although that may be due to the lack of cooling on them. I don't plan on overclocking for my usage though, just wanted to see how much headroom it has in it.

That's nothing. I used ATITool with mine and the core topped out at around 535 and the memory around 571. Talk about a little amount of OC headroom. But, in the end the card is already extremely fast and the little to be gained from OC'ing is pretty meaningless.

Ordered 8/1 (Canada), card shipped 8/23, arrived yesterday (free upgrade to next-day shipping). My card also seems brand new - no signs of sratches on AGP connectors under magnification. Stock is 520/560 as expected.

Been benchmarking and testing ever since it arrived - card runs great, nice upgrade from my R9800pro (@420/375) on my A64 @2.3Ghz, 1GB ram. 3Dmark05 went from 3000 to 6200, and Doom3 (1280, MQ) went from 36 to 80 fps! Interestingly, HL2 isn't that much faster, but I can now run 4XAA/8XAF with almost no loss in performance (indeed, 4XAA/8XAF with the PE is much faster than no AA/AF modes on the 9800 on all games/benchies).

Fan is loud (jet engine at take off!), but quickly settles down to manageable (not as quiet as my old VGA silencer, but you can't have everything .

And let me add I had a x800xl at one point and this card straight up blows it away...In BF2 I can't even compare the difference in gameplay between the 2...

Got my PE yesterday! It doesn't really look refurbished but the card seems to have a strange smell. Electrical ozone type smell if that makes any sense, perhaps it is just "new card" smell. Anyhow I fired it up and my 3d05 mark went from 2285 with my 9800 Pro to 4671 on the PE. My system is showing its age here, P4 2.4 533 FSB 1 GB RAM but it still is a marked improvement. I was surprised at the weight of the card!

I have the same gold writing on my card next to the power connector that bob4432 and selfbilt show in their pictures.

My PE was on my porch when I got home tonight. Tried very hard to find some indication that it is not a new card, found nothing, I believe I received a new one. Has that electric smell mentioned above, and the gold writting, and is HEAVY. Gonna install it tonight after I run some bench marks.

I wish ATI would come out with a "special" deal (i.e., <$250 shipped) for a X800XT or X850XT in PCI-E!!! Since I can't find a deal like above...I may have to pick up a nVidia 6800GT (retail) for $250. The X800 Pro won't cut it in my new build

Anyone get their X800 Pro in PCI-E? If so, was it VIVO and/or brand new (or actually refurbed)?

did not know that.

I used the original catalyst 5.8 install without the control panel which requires the .NET Framework 1.1 and the "New Hardware detected" is no more. .

thanks since these omegas are based on the catalyst 5.7, does anybody know if there are issues with it and bf2? ea says to use 5.8 and i don't want to f*ck up something that is working fine for me, but i like the omegas better than the ati stock ones....

Am I one of the lucky ones ??? I got one of these x800xtpe and I was running 3dmark 2005 and noticed under display info , graphic chipset that it was listing my chipset as an x850xtpe , and the card as an x800xtpe. Anyone else getting this?

what does it say in the device manager on your machine?

interesting how the intel website shows that as a pci-e board....., as in NO-AGP:|

and the date that the test was on was before anybody got their cards....

Maybe. Mine shows "Graphics Chipset ATI RADEON X850 XT PE, Driver Name RADEON X800 XT Platinum Edition". ATITool shows my chip is a R420.
