What about the THERMALRIGHT V-1? Of these three, which is best? I found one review showing the THERMALRIGHT V-1 out performed the AC4, but it didn't include the Z700.

Got my V-1 a few days ago for my 6800GT and I love it despite a few minor problems.

1- RAM isn't covered by the HS, but RAM sinks were included, so I guess that counts
2- My AGP slot is too close to my XP-120, so I couldn't fit the fan on the V-1 between it and the XP-120. No problem, unscrewed the fan and wedged it in where it would fit.

Got my V-1 a few days ago for my 6800GT and I love it despite a few minor problems.

No other reason for the call. Simply that my order date was one of the earlier (i.e. 7/29 or earlier) and that before my card would be charged they wanted to insure I wanted the product. I checked my CC online and sure enough, it was charged shortly after the phone call. Again, I'll keep everyone abreast when I receive the product.

Well this is lovely ... despite having ordered on 8/1 (order # CNL20040xx), mine is still reported as backordered when I call the web store, and there's no ETA as to when they will be available.

The irony to all this is that I live less than 50 kms from ATI head office and plant here in Canada! Apparently, they use a different distribution net for us cannucks, and have none available as yet up here. Have any Canadians received confirmation notices yet??

Yeah, well there's plenty of reports here, and elsewhere, of people ordering over a full week after I did (up to Aug 9) and getting e-mail confirmations and even shipping notices. So I think I my frustration is somewhat understandable.

They said that they are still waiting for the cards for the Canadian orders to come in, while the American cards are in. Makes me mad, but as long as I get my card I'll be happy.

i'm also in canada too but i ordered from the US website because 1) The price is cheaper when you pay in american funds and 2) I can have the card shipped to my friends place (will take longer for me to get the card but I save money on international fees and exchange rate)

I called them yesterday, they said they received the refurbs and were actually in the process of getting them shipped out while I was talking to them. They asked me what my number was so they could track it, I gave it to them, they said I was one of the first people to place an order and told me I should be receiving my card sometime later this week, if not first thing next week. If it matters to anyone I ordered on 7/28 ;x

It's the Silencer 4 rev 2 you want if you go with Silencer 4. I read on the Hard forum that the Silencer 4 rev 1 fan with 12 volts makes a loud noise. You have to run the fan at 5 volts so you will not have the noise but only goes to 1100 rpm. The Silencer 4 rev 2 is not available in the US at this time. If anyone finds a US retailer that has it in stock please post it here.
I read at Rage3D forums and Hard Forum that the ARCTIC COOLING AVC-AT5 Rev. 1/2 will work on the X800XT PE according to that thread. I am not guaranteeing it will fit though.
The other HSF mentioned do not blow the hot air out of t he case like the Artic Silencers do. The installation of the other HSF will be easier then the Artic Silencers.
