Yup, I'll side with those that point a greedy finger at the "Anandtech effect". Heh. I ordered 1 stick, then went back a few minutes later to order one with expedited shipping. There had been almost 200 orders since my first.

When you preview your order, you can select a quicker shipping method. Either UPS 2-day air or Next day air. Expect to pay upwards of $100 for next day but still a hot deal.

I just ordered 8 sticks and chose 2nd day UPS air, for $95.92.

I ordered 4 w/ just UPS Ground. I don't think overnight will help since it goes out mid-afternoon and Egghead has good order verification procedures in place. I'm hoping though. Good luck to all!

when you do a search for the item, it shows as crucial ram. and i think
someone was drawing a link to the fact that crucial uses micron chips in their
ram.. so it's therefore micron ram.

(but i could be wrong.)

Crucial uses Micron ram as well as high quality PCB's (I think that's what the boards are called).

Come on guys....... I don't suppose many of you here remember that deal last year from Egghead for 100 sticks of 128 MB PC100. It was priced at $179.00 for the entire lot of 100. It never went down. Nobody received those because the distributor made a mistake on the description. But, what the heck....... it's still worth a try hehe............

haha Gurdy, you honestly think that there is any better chance of getting 1 or 2 over 6 or 8? Yeah i'll bet your right, figure in the 500+ order's for these they've probably had and there's no way they would be suspicious if everyone only ordered 1 or 2. Yeah right, they would catch it even if only 10 sticks were ordered total. And if you read the post's everyone here realizes the only way anyone is going to get one is if orders slip threw the cracks. Relax, you'll live longer!

This is becomming a common trick now for these companies.
It has happened with TCC's monitors and other stuff too.

I am VERY sure, that they (egghead) are VERY well AWARE of the phenomenom, but they just let it continue to gather even more emails and personal info from all of you.

The more "customer base" they have, the more valuable they are.

If you look up the monitor thing, NOBODY got one!
Soon you will find an apology as usual referring to their terms etc etc.

C'mon guy's.... THEIR name is EGGhead, not YOURS...
