Hot deal on Cobra ESD 9100 Radar detector @ target

sigh, i woke up at 7:30am this morning to check target stores if they had these in stock.
the stores in Scottsdale, AZ do not have the 9100. the one i went to on Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. had a shelf spot for a 9110 (cobra has no info on it, and there is no reabate on it) for $59.99 but were outta stock.

if anyone is getting the deal on one of these, i would like to see about getting one from someone. (i know off-topic)

I hit up the Cupertino and Sunnyvale, CA stores, and they only have the 6050 and 9110 in stock, $29.99 and $59.99 respectively - they said they never even carried the 9100. If anyone gets in on this deal and picks up a couple extra, I'd like to take one off their hands. I'd pay shipping, of course.

Dallas had the same results at CA. Only 9110 and 6050 in stock and no rebates (although
the 6050 was just price dropped to $29.99 from $59.99 -- anyone know if it is any good?

I used to have a laser/radar detector and jammer which was great ($180 from some knife
company that also sold this product), but it was stolen and I lost the website address long
ago. Anyone know of any good detector/jammers for under $200?

After looking at the Cobra website, is it safe to assume that the 6050 is a 6 band and the 9110
is a 9 band detector? I guess it is possible that there is a $10 rebate on the 9110, but it is
still more than the 9100 deal that was posted.

<< I agree, cheap radars don't work well and it's worst than not having a radar. I bought one in the $179 (Cobra) range and used on the I-5 going to LA and it sucked. I must had over 300 false alarms and had to shut it off 'cause it was just annoying. Never used one since. I guess if you spend around 400-500 bucks you can get a decent one but those off of Target are jokes. >>

Where in the Target stores are these things located? I checked both a normal and a Super Target and neither had them from what I could tell (looked in the glass case where the digi cameras are, looked up and down every electronics aisle)

9110 is the new model. released 3/2002 has 10 BANDS, including 4 laser, the 9000 has 3 lasers. I think each Target has only 3 of them. MSP is 129.99

got my 9100 at the local target (Rochester, NY). It was marked $69.90, rang up as $24.94.
I think it was the last one in stock, as I didn't see any others.

I just decided I needed one last night, and saw the post today. Thanks a lot guys!

just checked my encinitas CA target, and they pointed me around every which way but eventually just said they don't carry radar detectors anymore...

I went to Target in Raleigh, NC and all they had was one 9110 model for $99.99. They didn't even have a tag on the shelf for the 9100 model.

You can find a real good site with lots of info/comparisons of radar detectors and police radar in general at RadarTest. I think they have info on this radar detector too, if im not mistaken
