HOT deal on GAS in Dallas, TX area!! $1.09 for unleaded!

Was driving by the RaceTrac gas station last night at the corner of Greenville and I-635 and noticed they had gas for $1.09 per gallon. Everywhere else in Dallas the cheapest I have seen is $1.37. Maybe this is a sign of things to come? I went and bought some for my truck as I was almost empty anyway. $17 to get around 15 gallons of gas was awesome! I was so tired of paying $22 to fill up my tank. =) Good luck!

I paid $1.63/gallon for Unlead Plus gas at Arco yesterday. I've never heard of RaceTrac gasoline. Is this only in Dallas?

And here I am, paying $2.19 a gallon! Us Silicon Valley people get so screwed on gas... I'm glad I decided to get a corolla instead of some suv. I've pulled up to a pump after a SUV left, and they paid $50+ to fill up!

I live in Denton. I don't think driving 30 minutes to get cheaper gas justify the drive. Hope the deal moves its way up here.

I'll have to check it out and give you a price for RaceTrak in Austin. I get Texaco 89octane for $1.35₉₉. The RaceTrak here is prolly around $1.20 for unleaded.

I save gas money by using a Razor scooter. I use my fat ass lunch for energy.

Unless you're already headed to Dallas for something, then this probably isn't worth it. Or unless you have a large gas tank. In which case if it's 30 miles away, and you have a 25 gallon tank, you save about 30 cents a gallon, or $7.50. Might save you some money. =)

i remember back in the days when lubbock, texas gasoline was 80 cents per gal...now here in sacramento, ca its 2.20 per gal....i'm growing old sonny...

I used to live in Sacramento, god am I glad I don't anymore! Sacramento was fun but expensive. I can only imagine what cigarettes cost these days. They were $3 a pack when I lived there and it was $2 everywhere else. Now it's $3+ everywhere else. I bet they're over $4!

I remember about 3 yrs ago, here in Okla City,
one corner had two gas stations go up in an upscale
area about a week apart from each other.
There was already a 7-11 on a third corner
of the intersection.

Anyhow, somebody pissed somebody else off and
they started having price wars and when it was all
over about 4 days later, gas could be had there
for 37 cents a gallon, when everyone else in town
was about 89 cents.

I don't know if they just got tired of losin
money or if the cops shut em down cuz of traffic,
but that was one helluva week.

Believe me... I would love to bike to work. Except I don't think I can get up early enough for the 40 mile bike ride... I drive 80 miles a day and fill up my tank every 3-4 days. (Corolla has a *really* small tank) Can't afford to move closer to work either with the rent prices around here. You think paying $2.19 for gas is bad? Try paying $1500 for a small one bedroom apartment!

The new Sam's at 635 and MacArthur was selling gas for .99/gal last weekend. The store isn't open yet but the gas station is. Of course, my tank was full when I saw the deal.

A friend of mine works for Sam's and says they guarantee to have the lowest gas in town. I don't know if that is in every town though. Their is a Sam's on Northwest Highway near 35 that is directly across the street from a Racetrac. The Sam's is always a few cents cheaper.

Unleaded in Lafayette, LA is $1.19 unleaded at the Circle K. We get cheap gas at the pump plus make a killing off you guys... (I work for an oil exploration company). If I'm not mistaken, Racetrack is cash only and I wouldn't trust the quality of the gas - it's basically refinery dregs. Seriously, most of you pay a ton in state and federal taxes per gallon - refiners only make a few cents per gallon.

Racetrac Used to be cash only but now is Credit and Debit Friendly. As for the quality, yes it is the Low end of the Gas chain but when your poor and need gas and can get it than I say Jump all over it but if you can afford the Chevrons and Texacos then More power to ya, Myself I am a Chevron $1.46 Unleaded plus Customer, unless Citgo has their $1.39 Super unleaded like it is now.

OUT OF STOCK!!!




I drove by there, there was a long line(Anandtecher's??).
Anyway, I waited 15 min for my turn to fill up.
Guess what, when I got there
they were out of stock.
What the heck? That Anandtech effect suck.
I came in and ask if I can get a raincheck, they say h@ll no, we don't give raincheck.
Then I ask them when would it be in stock again, they say not until next year.




R@cetrak = suck & stupid.
I'll never buy from them again.:disgust::|



Just so my time and effort is not wasted.

I went across the highway to try and pricematch at S@m's club.
The b@stard wouldn't do it, saying R@cetrak has to have it in stock for them to pricematch. I could they've known?

What do I do now? I wasted an hour trying to save a few buck!!!
Well, I went to S@m's gas pump anyway.

There was an old lady across from me. I told her that I had forgot my card and if it's Ok for me to use her membership card to get gas.
I filled gas tank up to rim. And, here is the part that made my time worth it. I just took off w/out paying. Was it so suspicious for a person to wear a ski mask when it's freezing outside. My license plates was covered w/ mud. The membership was in sold old lady's name.

I would say that Sam = Suck, and I'll never buy from them again.
I wanted to buy from them again. But I'll have no choice b/c Sam & Walmart is pretty good w/ prosecuting shoplifter.

Afterward I went to a $tr!pc|ub w/ the money saved to hide out for a while. "Hey there cuties, I'm an outlaw, you'all wanna get together after work." I didn't wasted a couple of hour after all. That fell much better.

One night after work, I drove by there to get gas and forgot my credit card. They wouldn't take my check. That's what all I have for payment, and they wouldn't take it. That's how their gas price is low, they don't take check.

But don't the State come by and test them for weight and measure, as least that's how it's here in Texas so the gas is not diluted.

I was just j/k about it
being out of stock.
I live 200 miles from Dallas.
I didn't rip SAM off neither, and I would'nt recommend for anybody to try.

But that's how it's like getting gas from Sam's Warehouse. They have the lowest price, but there is alway line of cars waiting to be filled up.
