Good deal.

Here is another place that I saw recommended in a review by PC-Mag....

www.greenbatteries.com Click on the "Order Form" link for pricing.

Enjoy.

BTW,

Not all NiMH are the same. They can range from 1200mAh to 1750mAh....and to further confuse things, some are "junk" aka...short lifespans. Also, chargers vary to. OVERCHARGING kills batteries.....not quick charging, some trickle-chargers can fry batteries....

AND....NiMH lose about %3-4 charge per day when stored at room temp, about .5-1% when refrigerated. They also have a sharp voltage drop-off, which can cause some cameras to go from %80charge to %5 charge in a few minutes... *this info was from a 30-page review of the Nikon CoolPix 990 camera I read on the web*....found it at
www.reviewfinder.com

Hot deal.

If anyone wants to pick two of these up for me, I'll give
you $76 delivered for them (covers your time and shipping).

Or I'll trade you a nice Intel T440BX server board (PIII) with
onboard UW SCSI and ethernet (refurbished) for two.

Or I'll trade you a retail boxed unopened PIII 500Mhz processor
for four.

Or I'll trade you a new, never-used still in box Ricoh MP7040 CD-RW
for three.

Anyone?

Energizer charger are not bad at all for that price. Last time I brought it in Walmart for $12.99 and price match with Office Depot for $9.50. But that's back when OD still have 155% PM. This is a good charger for digital camera.

Anyway, does anybody know where I can get the charger for 2CR5 NiMH rechargable battery? I sold my old Energizer charger along with my old Kodak DC215 ME camera. Got the Canon S10 from Office Max deal and they take 2CR5 battery. Canon sell its charger kit for $89.99 and I don't think it's worth the money, unless I can get a third party charger.

Kodak AA NiMH batteries are far superior than others that I have tried in my tests. These are all 1600mAh and I wouldn't bother with anything else.

Please note: Clicking Souka's link will take you to greenbatteries order page, but it is not secure getting there via the link. Be sure to back out to greenbatteries main page and navigate back in to the order page before placing your order.

What's so great about greenbatteries.com? It looks like a pretty novice unprofessional site. Can I trust them? And why buy from them when I can just go and get some Energizers or something? I ask because Souka recommened them. Got any links (to reviews, or where someone recommended them)?

Hmm...maybe we should do a group buy. Cuz I know I need at least 12 more AA's and probably 8 AAA's.

If you are a digital camera owner, do not get the Sam's combo.
The Energizer batteries were the ones that were a little larger
then other brands, and they got stuck in many camera's.
Quote from Thomas-distributing:

<< I'm interested in your NEXcell rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries , I will be using them in Olympus D450Z Digital Camera, my concern is, will it fit inside this camera, I have just purchased 4 Energizer ACCU Rechargeable NiMH "AA" batteries and they fit in so snug I have to use dental tool to remove 3 of the 4 batteries, I'm afraid to use them for fear they may mold-form from heat inside the compartment. >>

<< Answer #21: Ron - All the News groups have several postings about this very problem. Hundreds of people have even damaged their cameras trying to get these batteries removed from their cameras. There is no problem with any of our batteries. They are made to specs in size, and will fit perfectly. - Sales Dept. >>

Also, I did purchase a set of Energizer NiMH AAA for my Logitech mouse, and
they do not last for diddly squat. They are primarily designed for occasional
home toy use.

I second the Thomas-Distributing batteries.
2 years ago I bought 12 Nexcell AA batteries and the $7.00 charger from
them. All 12 still last as long as the day I bought them. With 12, you can
take 2 sets with you, and keep one on the charger. You can get a charger
and 12 batteries from them for about $38.00.

I got the combo from Thomas Distributing for like $32 bux and its the best thing I ever got.
Its includes Maha quick charger (charges up in like 3hrs) and 4 1500mAH AA and a car adapter which you can connect the charger while you're on the road. Once the battery are fully charge, I got took over 50pics and the battery meter is still 3/4 full.

I once thought duracell was the best until I bought a pack of duracell ultra and put it in the camera and I can't even get 1 flash out of it.

My my, this thread is still being updated. I posted the SAM Energizer deal about a few week ago. They are good battery for basic used, but for camera, not if you like to wait a while and recharge often. On the back of the charge (which is not part of the package description, it's a 15 hour charge. I end up returning it and got the Maha quick charger and 2 extra sets of battery from Thomas Distribuation.

Before these guys (maha), I burn batteries like crazy on my Nikon 800 (how about 20 -30 pics per set of 4). Now I can't even wear them out before wearing myself out. I highly recommend them more than Energizer if you have something that have them for dinner all the time (battery eater, for those that didn't get it).

Charger plus 2 set (total 3 set, cause 1 set came with charger) cost me 60 bucks, well worth it. Actually could have survive nicely with just 2 set if I knew these guys were that good.

You might want to check Fry's Electronic for their GE Sanyo NiMH batteries. AA's are rated 1600 mah, 5.99 per pair and AAA at 700 mah, 5.99 per pair. If you are looking for high capacity NiCd, they also have the GE Sanyo 1100 mah AA NiCd, 4.99 per pair. I think Fry's also sells the "appropriate" charger for these rechargeable batteries. My only comment about these chargers is that they "cook" you batteries, significantly reducing the number of charge cycle. If you want a really really good charger which you can build send me a note, I can give you the correct info or even provide you with a circuit diagram and part list.

Have fun.
