I got some excellnet PNY CDRs made by 4M (MMM&M), which is a Swizz company. If you go to the PNY website, you will find information about how they back-up their disk with a satisfaction guarantee. So if you happen to get an off-brand, you can mail it to them and get another brand. I have talked with people who actually did this and PNY came through.

I went my local Best Buy this afternoon and the 50 pak of PNY cd-r were $24.99 and NO rebate. Is this a local deal?

I went to Best Buy in Southgate Michigan today. They scanned the 50 pack and told me the rebate expired 9/23/2000.

CDRs are like dirt cheap now . . . the PNY deals aren't worth the hassel and even when you hassel they don't give you your money.

I received a $20 rebate from PNY in timely fashion. By that I mean, the rebate actually came before the time window stated in the rebate form expired.
