At Uniden's online store they sell like-new items. A majority of them are just returned items that were sent back to the factory. Right now they have a 900MHz cordless phone/speakerphone valued at $355.95 for only $39.95 plus shipping. My total came out to:

Tax : $3.61
Grand Total : $50.16

Do you really believe that a Uniden 900MHz phone deserve to a MSRP of $350+? Comparable Panasonic and Toshiba ones can be have brand new for a little bit more that the $50 that you paid! So this is actually not a hot deal at all!

The MSRP is way too high. Other site list the phones retail as around $119, and we're looking at essentially a used product here.

After reviewing the manual, it is not even called ID compatible. Must be an old old phone. If so, what are the odds the battery is going to be any good? It's suppose to have a standby of 14 days. Unlikely!

We got a refurbished Uniden crap before with digital answering system, caller/call waiting ID, etc. for ~$89, you can't even here the out-going message, and can't here the messages. all we are using it today is as caller ID (POS).

I suggest you to stay awaw from it.

dude uniden was good when they came out with the 900 mhz...i forget which model...but it was the big fat one....anyways that phone was awsome...i could walk about half a mile from my house. too bad they don't make it anymore

I also bought a refurb. Uniden phone. It worked great... for about six months. The microphone died. People would call and I could hear them, but they could not hear me. On the other hand a friend of mine ordered the same one and he has had no problems for two years. It's your money, but I'll never order another refurb. phone. Good Luck.

Vtech phones suck. I bought that $10 onvia phone and it is worth only $10. Horrible sound quality, big, bulky handset, buttons are slow to respond. I can't believe that Vtech stays in business with their crappy phones.

VTech phones sell because they're cheap. And amongst the lot, they have some decent models. I prefer Panasonic phones, but they're also the most expensive. Besides, VTech also makes the insides of Sony and AT&T phones. So it's funny when I see someone praise AT&T or Sony phones and bash VTech.

They must have made a mistake on their website. They probably mean that the phone is $35.95 MSRP so they're actually ripping everyone off by selling it more than it's actually worth, haha. I have to agree with me3d about the $355.95 being in the 1800s.

Uniden isn't that bad. I got a Uniden EXP 920 (2 line cordless 900MHZ with dual keypad and speakerfone) for $49.99 @ price costco. been working very well indeed. I had a panasonic 900mhz before and it was $89.99 (1 line, single keypad, no speakerfone, but there was a free headset). The quality isn't that bad, but to be honest, i didn't really like it.
