Same here. Went to RadioShack in Chicago Area, sale rep. call other store and chit chat for 10 min. then said it is out of stock

UPDATE
If there are some available but the store is a ways away from you, call and say you were hoping they could ship a specific product to you. Make sure to use another store to verify they have more than 1 in stock, because that will probably guarantee they do have at least one. Plus this way, they can't just say "Oh, we don't have that" and get it for themselves as easily.

Anyhoo, I called a store that is hours away from me that I knew had 3 in stock, asked the lady if she could ship a product, she said yes, I gave her the SKU, and she said WOAH, cheap! The cool part is that she said they'd ship it for free All you have to do is pre-pay for it over the phone.

The store was the one in Yamhill, OR, in case anyone in OR wants to get one still. She said it'd ship out tomorrow, UPS.

So now I have two of these bad boys! And yes, I'm going to actually use them, not auction them off We have two TVs I want to watch TiVo on.

This unit is actually a rebranded version of the Terk Leapfrog home network.

[edit] By the way, the system doesn't work at all with my DSL. Well, it works when it isn't behind a filter, but then the DSL loses its connection. I just connected the two boxes with their own phone line and it works great Remind me to get cable internet when we move in a few months

Also, here is a review, and another one.

I have to say the video and audio quality, as well as the responsiveness of the IR relay is QUITE nice. I'm just routing our TiVo signal into the bedroom, but it looks and sounds great. The video signal is probably around 90% (quality-wise) of the original signal.

I know! And it takes a lot of 'em.

Guess rs has to stay in business somehow. I once asked a manger how they compete with other electronics stores. He said it's in all of the cables/adapter/connectors they get to sell. I mean how many people are gonna buy a tv or other major apliance @ rs?

Personally I didn't understand how RS stayed in business until tonight. An "old dear" (i.e. female of pensionable age) was enquiring in RS about buying a digital camera as an Xmas present. The girl behind the counter was telling her that the Fuji she was buying had "two million megapixels" (wow!). She was also selling her a 128MB SmartMedia card for $99. It was as much as I could do to not call the police and report a mugging. Meanwhile I was walking out of the shop with $200 worth of stuff for $20. I guess the police could have arrested me too for theft!

hey guys,

i got one of the RS phone networks. I have audio working fine but absolutely no video at all. I have a radeon ve card with TV out. The card did not come with a s-video to rca adapter so i got one from the geeks. Does anyone know if i needs ati's "special" 7-pin s-video adapter or any regular 4-pin s-video adapter should work fine. I am assuming this may be the cause of the problem. Tks for your help

I use the standard 4 pin S-Video - Composite adapter with my Radeon, and I've had no trouble.

Have you checked the "Displays" tab on "Display Properties --> Advanced", to see if TV out is enabled?

Question

Picked up the last one at my RS for $8.97. I am trying to run this off the AT&T mtotola digital cable box. I tried just running 50 feet of phone cord directly from the transmitter to the receiver, without ever going to the house's phone jacks in the eall. Not working.

Is this a problem with the phone line or the digital cable box? Need to get by the RS to pick up another long piece of phone line to try to connect to wall jack and back out in the other room. RS closed til tomorrow.
