While I don't own one, the Addonics Combo Hard Drive Kit is the way I'll likely go once I make up my mind which drive to purchase. This setup comes with USB 2.0, Firewire, or PCMCIA support standard with the ability to add the others for an upcharge. I haven't been able to locate any reviews as of yet (although I haven't looked hard either).

With several days to go on ebay auctions, this is up to $142 already
I couldn't find any 80gig 7200rpm WD on pricewatch that came near this price.

I don't think the Circuit city deal gets u the drive for $129.99 after rebates, i think it's either $179.99 after rebates or $199.99

so you'd have to sell the CDRW drive for anywhere from $30-$50 on ebay just to get the same price as you are for outpost deal

Yup, the better way to go is through outpost.com. The CC rebates have 3 that you must fill out, and the chances that you'll get them are pretty slim since CC don't really have a good rep. on rebates. I just ordered one from outpost. I hope it's a retail box version cuz all it really says is retail kit. What ya think...retail box or no?

get em while you can its a limted supply these are the same as maxtor. Maxtor has bought them so Maxtor will support the Hard Drives.

Shoot, I don't know why I didn't think of doing that. I guess maybe I feared the receipt saying something about package deal and then Amex not price matching? I dunno, I just did my first PM w/ Amex recently, and I'm still awaiting the check, so I guess I'm too new to take $50 risks yet, hehe.

For the AMEX price match do you have to use your card to pay for the HD in full? I have $60 in BestBuy GC's and would want to use them while using my AMEX blue to pay for the difference. Thanks.
