HOT DEAL! Sony 36" WEGA TV!

Just went to Fry's Electronics in San Diego and found out that they had a Sony 36" WEGA KV-36FS12 TV for only $999! Cheapest I can find online and offline for a 32" ver is $899 at costco. This thing is at least $1500 everywhere else. This was unbelievable! Now, supposedly it's a surplus according to a sales person after the superbowl, so that's why it's at the low price. Now, if I can only find a matching WEGA style stand for it. Anywhere got any good leads or deals on TV furniture or stands? Well, ifyou don't think it's any hot, it extremely hot for me. Just keeping you guys informed.

Costco you need membership for $50bucks it might be worth it if you want to buy this TV they have many others GOOD tv's very cheap.

Yeah, I not sure about other Fry's on this tv. Try to call them, I'm sure they might have them on sale. Yeah, $899 for a 32" is good but, I was shocked when I saw it for $999 for a 36" . I was in the market for a 32" but, it was still kinda expensicve for $899, but as soon as I saw the 36" for $999, it's a no brainer. Anyways, this is a awesome deal, please post some cool info if you were able to get this at the other Fry's around.

Thats hella cheap. I got my Sony Wega 36 for 1200 that was w/ my BestBuy Discount.
One of the only guys @ UCI w/ a 36 inch Sony Wega.

I believe their are two versions of WEGA, the original and the XBR. The XBR is A LOT more expensive than the regular one.

A little tip.......try Sears floor sample clearance...

I just bought the 36" KV-36FV16 (the one with the better speakers - on the sides rather than the bottom) Retails for $1799, cheapest I could find online was $1550 + shipping....they had it for $1259, and after talking to the sales rep, he had me call back the next day and did a price adjust to take another $75 off....Awesome TV!! Awesome price!

Just FYI, Sears automatically knocks 30% off the minute they put a floor sample out. I also got a JVC DVD player for $140, retails for $229......

Although I would like to sit back and allow everyone to generate page views on my site looking for this deal, I must be honest and let you know that it isn't in any of the printed ads there. At least I haven't been able to find it. That doesn't mean the deal isn't valid, it just means they didn't put it in the LA newspaper ad.

That is a NICE DEAL. I've been holding off waiting for a $800 or less deal on the 32, but for that price, I'm gonna jump on that 36!!! Anyone hear if the Sacramento Frys has these? Or if they'll give a "sorry slip" (they give you the price next time they get it in stock)?

Here's a little variation on the deal to get the TV + $1000 giftcard for $1499.

1)Buy it at The GoodGuys for $1499.
2)Go to Fry's and have them print out a quote for the TV at 999.
3)Go back to GoodGuys, and with their Double the Difference price policy, you'll get a $1000 giftcard in a few weeks.
