I suggest that in addition to this, there should be a list of acronyms commonly used along with their meanings. YAFT, TTT, ROFL, etc.

And definately no posting of "I want this, where can I get it". Posts like that go in the ~~IWANNA~~~ threads normally created by MOD's. So all you people that are new, quit requesting stuff.

Another thing. Maybe someone can post a chart of how many posts is required to reach whatever rank level.

Like 30 posts or something needed to become member, and etc. cuz I have no idea how that works either.

TTT means To The Top - a way of bumping a thread up for those who display most recently commented upon thread at the top.
SOL means Sh*t Outta Luck.

<< So, please respect the people with higher rankings since they've been around longer. >>

only problem with this logic is its no indication of someones experience or how long they have been here. many people do bumps and post crap so they can be a senior member in a couple of weeks. Its really meaningless any more!!! I'l respect someone by they content of the post, not by the member status or ranking.

ALWAYS use the IWANNA thread to post requests! 99% of the thread locks are because of that.

And i wholeheartedly agree that those should be locked. There's enough posts to have to dig through each day than have to read people's request as well.

Exactly, dirtrat. I'm a good example: I've only been around here since August, and already I'm a 'Senior Member.' Most of these posts were questions, only in a few of them have I helped others.

If it is to help people people like myself, could someone demonstrate the art of pricematching? I would like to know how to apply a coupon (a nice bug juicy coupon) to staples, pricematch and get this incredible LOW price that i've seen people do recently. I'm terrified that the people who'll pricematch won't let me use a coupon then since after the pricematch the price is below the coupon...Please enlighten me and show how to deal with CSRs...

Thank you

I agree with dirtrat. I've been coming to this BBS for years, (A little over a year since they switched to Fusetalk forums). From my post count, though, it may not seem like that. Then you have people like Paulson that have 8K posts and have never really post anything useful (Well besides for RC5 stuff).

VivYip: I'll try to find you a FAQ for Pricematching.

About those acronyms,

WTF = Where's The Fudge?

B&M = Beg & Moan, which is what you'll do when you go into a Staples Brick & Mortar to try get a PM (Price Match).

But seriously folks her are a couple of points That I believe would cure a lot of frustration and needless posting.

When you get lucky , find a hot deal and be the first to post it, give as many details as possible. If you find it in a B&M (Brick & Mortar) please try provide your location, the sku of the item, the particulars of the transaction. Facts such as if it was priced correctly or if it was mispriced and just scanned differently, was there human intervention or did the deal just slide through, did it appear to be a one-of-a-kind deal or was there a ton of 'em. Were the employees aware of the deal. All those point can help others in their deal hunt.

Ditto if it's an online deal. Facts, facts, facts. Provide 'em and everyone can profit!

^^^

Maybe we can just talk about nothing in here, to keep this close to the top?

I keep suggesting this- maybe somebody will listen.

Start a new forum called 'Hot Deals Discussion.'

That way people new or old can talk about anything they want and not have to worry about somebody whining that is was the wrong thing to say.

It's getting really old.

It doesn't make sense to cram everything in I wanna or brag and moan.

You either need to read faster or scroll faster if too many posts bother you.
