hot deals forum watcher

I was wondering if anyone had written an Anandtech Hot Deals forum watcher which would email updated posts at some timely interval. My apologies as this is not a posting for a hot deal, but I figured this would be the best forum to pose such a question.

Too many variations in deals posted to work and the forum is a fluid thing that changes minute by minute so it would be nearly impossible to single out the best deals. It works well on a deal posting site, but is too hard to manage on a forum.

Yes I understand, but i still believe it to be possible. I am only referring to new posts - not continuing comentary on existing posts which would be nearly impossible to track. The URL:
http://forums.anandtech.com/categories.cfm?catid=40
will always pull up the latest 20 posts -- as long as you track it before a full new 20 posts have been made then it shouldn't be a problem to catch new additions. Article titles would be stored in a DB and only new article titles would be reported.

think about this for a second, that means that this "watcher" would more than likely send you the topic of the new posted "deal" well what about when you get the "anyone know of a hot deal on blah blah.." or "warning: something something" or the ever present "OT: kiss my ass"

i am sure it is possible however, it would turn out too much junk, it would take the same amout of time to check the website as it does to filter through your email.
