UPDATE: Seems dell is canceling some orders, while others are getting free overnight delivery. I guess it is a bad sign if you havnt got a confirmation email yet.

Seems like this is a decent deal for PC3200 memory for those of us who bought a Dimension 4600/8300 (at least for the 256MB chips).

256MB PC3200 chip
$57.95-(15% auto discount)-(15% coupon)=$41.87

The cheapest 256MB chip I could find was at newegg for ~$40+$6 shipping. And with this memory you know that you will get memory that will match the memory you already have. From what I understand it won't gain you much (if any) performance to use memory with more aggressive timings.

It looks like the 512MB chips are more expensive than can be found elsewhere, but the 256 do seem to be a pretty good deal.

Does anyone know of a better deal for PC3200 memory upgrades?

It's a newer planar screen, fast 25ms response, tight (for an LCD) .25 dot pitch and the only review I can find give it a 9 out of 10.

Basicaly you are getting a 20" for the price of a 19" (even some 18")

That and planar has a fairly good waranty.......
