free upgrade from a 17" CRT, and $100 more than "no monitor"

I broke down and finally bought my first Dell computer for myself. Gotten a few for other people and a laptop for my wife, but always built mine. I haven't gotten a LCD yet and my 2500 Barton/nforce2 ultra/ati 9600 combo is still young enough to get back most of my money on that. So for about 900 shipped AR, I'm getting:

Dell Dimension 8300 Mini-Tower: P4 at 3.0GHz with 800MHz front side bus
Microsoft® Windows XP Home
256GB DDR 400MHz SDRAM (2 DIMMs)
40 GB EIDE Hard Drive (7200 RPM) - swap that out with my dual 120gb raid setup
128MB DDR ATI RADEON 9800 PRO - will help with UT2004
48x CDRW
16X DVD-ROM
WordPerfect Productivity Suite 11.0
Dell Enhanced Multimedia PS2 Keyboard
Logitech Optical 2-Button Mouse
built in sound and lan
a much more silent case design & phone support...never had that before

I did get a 15% coupon to bring it down that low for techbargains' forum this morning. Thanks guys for the heads up!

I just pulled the deal up for the first time on this computer. It's still there for me. I ordered two earlier. By the way, all of the memory configurations offered show two sticks of RAM. Is that just to gain the increased performance of dual channel DDR? If I want to add a single stick of 512 from Kingston, can I, or do I have to add two sticks? Thanks!

Yes you can, but 2 256mb sticks would be better.

The motherboard is an 875 variation.
