Actually, this is not a referral, I found this deal on Deals4U and it says VMC Satellite which is the company who distributes this service along with Dish Network

Referral Free Link

The link did have a referral in it, so the question is did you put in your own referral and lie, or honestly just link from http://deals4u.com/. I went to deals4u and the website says it is upgrading and not even available...

What settlement would that be? My DirecTV package has more channels than my Dish package did.

Also, Mr. dabomb, please answer the question. How exactly did you "see" this on deals4u.com, when the site doesn't really exist?

I'd also like MontyBurn's two questions answered:

1) What DirecTV settlement and what channels were supposedly lost?

2) How did jondabomb24 see this on Deals4U.com?

Actually, it was my mistake, I saw an article which said that Dish Network lost its channels and for some reason i thought it said DirecTV. And just so you know, the Dish Network got their channels back.

Hard.....to....refuse!!....starting to hate Comcast.... !!!

I would consider signing up with DirecTV instead since Dish Network has dropped several channels supposedly in a move to protect consumers.
The channels came back like two days after they dropped them. I think they went out on Monday at midnight and by Thursday they were back again.

Nothing is stopping the same thing from happening to DirectTV when contract renegotiation comes around for them too. It's a very rare occurance from what I gathered.

The current Dish deal plus the programming being cheaper makes them a good choice. When I get my own place, I'm going to get the $1000 DishHDTV deal, because apparently the monitor they include is pretty nice (and worth over $1000 itself)

I hate Comcast too. Been a loyal customer for many years, but they do not offer anything special to loyal customers, only increases in rates. Presently have an HDTV but no HDTV service since it requires both Digital Cable & HDTV package which is a RIP. I am thinking of going with DishNetwork thru DishTVNow. Just talked with one of there reps and he was very informative and helpful. I actually may have 5 rooms that I may need to service, but found out I can buy the additional 311 receiver myself instead of thru DishNetwork ($99) and they can activate it at an additional charge of $5/month.

Question: If I want to plan for the future, can a standard tv operate off of a HD Dish 811 receiver? I think I can get 2 HD Dish 811 receivers in the pkg.

Edit: After reading some of the other threads it looks like DirecTV has a 5 room offer which maybe a better deal. Will have to check into it.

HDTV? Have you check VOOM out? Seems decent.

I have checked VOOM and read a few threads earlier this year and some people were having problems, most likely because they were so new. Things like getting the installation performed at the time it was scheduled.

Hopefully they have improved by now.

Any users have comments on VOOM?
