Are you sure you would get that much reward zone money from a single purchase? I haven't looked over the details that closely, but I can just see Best Buy doing something like "for every $125 you spend in separate purchases" meaning that they would only give you a $5 gift card for every SEPARATE purchase over $125. I'm not saying that's how it is, but it wouldn't surprise me, especially considering how many high priced items BB sells. I'll have to look at the letter to see if they specify.

well, since there is no longer a $150 bestbuy MIR, that shouldn't be a problem. It is now a $100 IR. it also is a 2.66Ghz P4 and has an 80gig hard drive

edit. was looking at hp's site. I wonder if they would pricematch that instant rebate?

There still is a BB rebate, and its good until tomorrow.
I read through their rebate policies, and I do not see anything that says you cannot use a coupon with a rebate in writing. Under rebate policies, it says refer to the 'Terms of Agreement' on the rebate itself.
So unless it specifies on the coupon (that the coupon can only be used exclusively that is), or unless someone else can point out where it is in writing, I think it could be argued.

On one of the two coupons, there is a BOLD category that says Computer Equipment: and lists some devices, such as printers scanners, mp3 players, etc... But does not include laptops. On the back of the coupon there are EXCLUDED items, and laptops are not listed here either. Thus is why I said "it does not specify it as an option on front, it does not disqualify it on the back either. So possible YMMV"

I think the other threads about the deals on ordering from hpshopping.com on the Compaq X1000, Compaq 2100Z as well as other notebooks with 10% coupon code, free shipping, $100 MIR, no taxes (unless you have it shipped to CA or SC) and free upgrade to XP PRO on some models are better if you are looking for a lappie...

I ordered a loaded out 2100Z with AMD 2600+, 30 gig HD, 256 meg DDR, XP PRO, DVD/CDRW, integrated 802.11G, 15" SXGA for about $1053 shipped after MIR...

I think the 10% coupon expires today though...

last time there was a perferred customer weekend, i used a 10% off coupon and got the rebate (2 months ago?). i dont see a problem with this.

also, rewards zone is based on points, $1 = 100 points and 12500 points = $5 gift card. you will get points on every dollar, so you will get gift cards for them too.

You guys must've been sleeping when BB new policy went into effect. Check the BB specific rebate and you will see the wording "Items which have been competitive price matched, price adjusted, will no longer be eligible for this rebate". That includes 10% off. I've been denied a rebate because of 10% off, many other people have been denied as well. That policy is couple months old, and so anything done before that doesn't apply. Also, anything not going to Calais doesn't apply either.

But current BB-specific rebates will get shot down.

How long ago did they work at compaq, and when did you see it on 60 minutes because now Compaq and HP have merged being mostly run by HP.
