I got with them a few weeks ago when they had some other deal. I am happy with them so far (haven't completed my new site design of my vb site yet though, so not much experience with them yet), but I do NOT like the admin software in the least. I guess I am spoiled with cPanel. CPanel so much easier to understand, much better organized and such. That of coursae is a personal opinion of mine. But anyways, aside with the admin panel everything seems fine to me.

BTW, I emailed Telnap Hosting on their specials (see this thread), and asked about what happens to the rates in the second and subsequent years. They wrote back telling me, "The price of all accounts will remain the same as long as your account remains in good standing with billing, and is able to automatically renew." That makes it an excellent deal, IMO!

I couldn't agree with you more. I only have one of my domains hosted there because the admin section is too freak'n hard to get around and get things working properly. I honestly got 5 errors to setup add a new e-mail account every time i went to submit. That alone made me know that i will only host one little domain that i hardly ever use there. Just snagged a good deal for year worth of hosting and free domain register.

Its not just you, the lack of CPanel is very disappointing. I have 2 domains hosted with them and since they are much simpler sites I have no complaints. However unless its hidden, the absense of phpMyAdmin sucks if you're working heavily with mySQL.

If they make a $50 off coupon, they pocket $47, etc. I created the codes LWS and URMOM which will give you the full $97 off of any of the plans (except if you pay monthly for the L1 and maybe L2 plans). I'm pretty sure they have phpMyAdmin (or at least that's what I think I've been using)...I just enter my database's URL into my web browser and it prompts me for username and password...

I got in on Dreamhost's level 3 hosting plan when it was half price ($19.99 a month, or $15.99 a month for two years), and that rate stuck, but I don't think this deal does. It's also worth noting that your storage and bandwidth go up every week. (I'm up to 18gb of storage.) And they're stable, reliable, and fast. I'll probably never look elsewhere for hosting.

They are against forum rules, and someone -- in addition to dreamhost -- makes money every time you sign up with one of these. The MAX code (that ANY dreamhost customer can make) is for $97 off the $120 yearly plan. So someone is making $20 off of this.

My year is almost up - the best $10 I have ever spent. It is my first web host, so I can't really compare their admin interface to any other. My only complaint would be that it feels like everything is highly CPU-constrained; if you're going to be playing with anything that has high server side processing, you might feel the pinch. But other than that, it's been a great adventure =).
