Refers to warranty and step-up (upgrade) eligibility. AR is the premium line with lifetime warranty and step-up eligibility, KR is typically cheaper and only has 3-year warranty and step-up requires you to pay for a warranty extension.

And Amazon automatically changes to the next 'in stock' vendor in their list. recently i purchased a Corsair Carbide 500R case, which had to be sent back for replacement twice...luckily the 3rd case wasn't broken and worked like a charm. for the hassle, Amazon gave me a $20 credit toward my next purchase. on top of that, someone in the RMA department screwed up in my favor by processing the transaction as a refund LOL. so not only did i get the case and a $20 credit, but apparently i'm getting the case for free now...i bought it using a $50 gift card and the balance on a credit card, so part of the original payment is being put back on my credit card, and the remaining $50 is being credited to my amazon account for my next purchase(s)...

...so between the $20 credit and the $50 gift card credit, i could have this GPU for $120 shipped!

Last time I checked, the price to upgrade the warranty and get stepup on a KR card was only $10-$20. Is that still correct, or has that changed?
