I just cancelled my membership at Fitness 19 because I moved. It's a great gym. No frills but the one I attended was clean and easy to get to.

Not mentioned here, but I think these gyms have equipment only, no showers - at least the ones I've toured didn't have showers. Just FYI if it helps someone. I agree most of these are newer gyms with newer equipment, so if you really just want to get in & out this might be an attractive option.

Yeah, it's a little weird. Fitness 19's usually have no showers. Luckily Express Fitnesses do and have an aerobics room. Wife wouldn't have joined w/o aerobics classes.

The Pleasanton club is the only one that offers the $12 deal.

If they had a place to clean up it'd be great to go before work as they open usually around 5AM. Not worth having to drive back home and try to hustle to get to work on time.

Bummer was SO hoping that wouldn't be the case as it's a steal otherwise.

i usually go to the gym around 5 am too
this gym is within a 5 mile radius so not bad

YMMV but my medical insurance provider (BCBS) gives my health club $20 a month if i go at least 8 times. anytime fitness in my area is $27 for county employees - 20 from my insurance provider net of $7 a month for all their clubs in the country. New equipment, showers, great deal. Just saying, if you have insurance check with them they may help defer the cost.
