People paying the $19.95 aren't "real" beta testers. I don't even think MS gives the real beta testers a final copy anymore..they used to I know.

I have been running .net server 2003 and exchange titanium beta 2 on my server. I have also been running office 11 beta 2 on most of my client PC's. I really like some of the new features. So far, I have had no problems. MS Betas are most impressive. I didn't get in on this deal, but I have an MSDN Universal Subscription, so I just d/led it.

Their stuff is buggy after final release. They expect me to go thru the torture of beta, then charge for it? :Q

ok but in microsoft's defense is one cool feature that I never had to use before until yesterday when my registry got corrupted, System Restore. I was lucky enough that I did a uninstall the day before so it made a restore point. I only lost half a day.
If I was testing all this beta software I'd probably tell it make a save point like twice a day.

No MS betas for me any more. I received free beta's of Office, Project, and XP, and guess what happened? I installed them on a separate partition on my main system so I screwed up... Seems that MS decided to invalidate my legal copies of Office and Project. XP did other screwy things, but luckily I installed in as a guest OS using VMware. Silly me for not having a dedicated system to test Microsoft products! No more testing, it cost me over three hours of time to recover the system. Maybe they can pay me for the testing and the time cost return the system back to normal... nah, I doubt it.

This offer is a life line for serious people that need to deal in the near future with clients, and installations.

For $19.95 you get a chance to be prepared for the work ahead.

Microsoft warns numerous times not to install it on the main computer (i.e. not to endanger the current Office installation).

I must say that for good or bad there is always something new in Microsoft upgrades.

In this one the interface ?Rocks?.

On the other end all the remarks above are old and beaten to dead from one upgrade to another for many years. It is the same remarks cut and paste.

As oppose to the above posts, Microsoft at least tries to be original.
