I ordered my retail version of the Powercolor Radeon 9700 Pro from Gameve.com about one year ago - package was sealed and had all games inside. Their tech support was very helpful when I had a minor problem with it. I suppose things could have changed since then.

Thanks to Valve's questionable six-month delay, this deal went from hot to luke warm for right now. SAD. Had HL2 come out on time, its graphics and physics superiority would have gone unchalleneged until next year. If you haven't already, check out the awesome gameplay videos here. You are lucky to have gotten the right card. Did you try the card yet? I bought mine and it was a bad experience. So be careful when buying expensive product dude.

2 things, I also have a bad experience with GAMEVE.COM..ordered a 9700np SAPPHIRE and received a bios-flashed power color vid card..it was almost pro speeds but the card was crap...anyway point 2:

So if you get a 9800pro, it cant be BB ATI, only Graphics (powered) by ati...ugh????????

I just visited my local BB and they had the promo right on the boxes and their price tags!...funny they were all out of the 9800pros and the only ones that were valid with the promo that was still on the shelf was a 9600se...ouch

Always reading other posts and (sometimes) laughing at people's ignorance, I guess it's my turn to pull a retard! So I got my new 9600 Pro (in the 9600 SE box) and I am all excited about HL2. I set the scratch off card on top of my computer and "bam-click-click-click-click"...my card got sucked into my case fan, pretty much shredding it to bits. I call BB and I cannot return the video card with any damage to that scratch off card (kindof what I figured). So I have been trying to put back the code card as best as what I can from the 20 or so pieces that sucked into my case. I think I got all the numbers but I am not sure what the form of the numbers is. IE. Is it something like XXXX-XXXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXX? Of course I am not asking for anyone's code or what-not, just the form of the numbering. I appreciate the help guys!
