hey, before I moved here, everyone I knew thought there was nothing but cows here.

It is one of THE best place to live in America... that people don't know about.

My parents live in a 650K house in San Diego. You can get the same house for about $250 - 300K here.

Btw, if you like to shop, I dare you find a place that have a Higher Shops per square mile ratio than Johnson County.

I have soon-to-be in-laws that live out there and it's ok but it's definitely not for me.. Super hot deal tho if you might be happy in a place like this..

As far as "Higher Shops per square mile ratio than Johnson County", Arlington, TX has the most retail space/sq foot on Cooper St. than anywhere in the country (or was it in the world?) or so a newspaper article said a couple years ago.. Fun fact if anyone cares

BTW, I practically grew up in Shawnee Mission Park - from catching snakes and turtles when I was a kid to playing frisbee and cruising chicks in high school and college. Great place....

I live in the Northwest now. Two things I miss - thunderstorms and tanned chicks. I am sure you can relate

unfortunately the tanned chicks become wrinkly chicks in a few years. i'm sure you can relate PNW chicks rule! lol.

wow, you guys do have it good. Here in Vancouver, BC, housing prices are through the roof! at least $300-$350/sq foot downtown, with peaks at about $550/sq foot, and over $250/sq foot everywhere else. Mind you, these are not necessariliy new condos/houses either. Most houses here were built just after WW2!

Then again, the ladies here are sweeeeet

Hey, don't complain. Bud is practically legal in your beautiful town

Bud *IS* legal, as long as its for personal consumption. Not only that, BC bud is one of the finest quality that you can get!! Woohoo (not that I smoke it or anything... Shhhhh!)

Well, once you're attached, it's all about the eye candy. And in KC, we have more days of shorts weather . Speaking of the attached thing, I believe the women also slightly outnumber the men in KC...

I appraise real estate in KC and the surrounding areas, and this is a really hot deal. Land prices are going up fast just about everywhere. Kansas really is a nice place to live too, but there is not much to do. I am pretty sure broadband is available in most towns as long as it is in the city limits. I read a story recently about a couple from Arizona that bought an old school building in some small Kansas town on Ebay to run their online sales business. In some of these small towns around here you can find pretty decent places for $40000-$50000.
