I called Best Buy's rebate center to see if they knew about this $15 rebate offer you are mentioning, they had nothing in their database "of thousands of rebates" even when I gave them the SKU and model (mx300) of this logitech product.

She said it may be a manufacturer rebate (i doubted it), but here's a link of those rebates on the Logitech site.

Someone call the Brick and Mortar store to see if these rebates are being printed everywhere, not just where PelikanBird bought his from... I can't find the number on their website. ok enough goofin off, Back to work... (or perusing more deals)

AFAIK BB still price matches, I was able to do the z-340's to Target just last week (ended up getting them for free AR! woohoo!). There's a big sign next to the Return/Exchanges area that informs you of their PM policy. You should also be able to find info on it at their website (though the policy only applies to B&M only). FYI BestBuy is often very hard to PM. You might just buy it full price at the register, then goto the returns/service department and go there for a PM. Usually works much easier because the idiot cashiers have to call a manager and junk. You can make a scene at the returns/service dept because they post their policy including the PM policy nearby.

When I PM at BB I allways do this way, to avoid the scenes and penible looks

I take the product, ask for manager and tell him that i want to PM the product. Worked all times. They have a form, filled in the info about product and few personal info. u can put bogus... cos' nobody really check them out. Manager signes the form and voila...

U take the form + product at the cashier and pay... rebate comes out from the printer, everything is smooth ... no angry ppl, no hmmmmm's no nothing... just smiles and at "have a good one" ... i allways reply with.... "you just made my day"

I just mailed off my BB MIR after getting back from the store tonight. The rebate prints at the register. Then walk over with a printout of the Staples price and get them to PM. I forgot to buy from BB online and ended up paying ~$2 in taxes. But that's okay.

You pay taxes online too, if BB is in the same state (which I doubt you drove to a diffrent state just to buy it).

if bestbuy is giving you a hard time with pricematching, contact your better business bureau. be armed with the managers name.

but if you don't want to be cut throat after his job for being positively a misinformed donkey, then print out page 2 from this link, and take their 110% pricematching policy as printed on the website to the store.

I plan on getting this mouse in NJ for:

14.94 staples price - 10% pricematch = $13.45 (the penny works against your favor for those counting to the third decimal)
$0.81 for a 6% sales tax.

I plan on paying $14.26 for this d@mn mouse, and getting paid $0.74 to drive to the store, pick it up, and send out a rebate (using 37 cents of postage).

Net cost: waste my time. waste your time if you are reading this. get a mouse, and get paid roughly 35 cents. which i killed just running my damn computer with dual monitors. this is beyond deal hunting, this feels like schemed screwing of bestbuy stores.

are you kidding me, i saw this thread and thought ok i'll print out the ad from staples at work, and bring it to best buy to do the PM. 1 trip. at work, 12/13 i checked the frigging staples site, the ad is GONE!!! they put out the next week ad. talking about shiat lucked. i guess i still ahve to make 2 trips, 1 to get the ad, 1 to bb. or better yet, 3 trips to 3 different staples cuz none of them have the ad. and come home and reprint the ad and go back to bb and get it.

anyone has the ad saved on their pc please PM me it. much appreciated.

I went to BestBuy with the printout of this page:

Then print out page 2 of their pricematching policy, don't let them tell you, you MUST have a ad. You don't need to have an ad. Tell them to call Staples. But hurry, Staples pricing changes on the 14th! (Check tommorrow, but your best bet is to do it today)

The b@st@rd CSR at BestBuy threw my rebate form out, and when I asked him for it he printed a new one out for me. He was apparently trying to send me off without the rebate form and just a yellow pricematch receipt. So I went back, and thinking he reprinted the right form - I went home. I should've known better. He gave me the WRONG FORM.

I called BestBuy, they said they can't fax it to me. But they suggested I call the store and get someone to mail it to me, which is what I will do.

This rebate form 32388 expires Jan 14th. Takes 6 to 8 weeks to fulfill.

nevermind, called up bestbuy, they're mailing me the form.

just realized the mule that did the pricematch didn't give 110% as per policy. he just *matched* the price. note to everyone, to ask for the 110% or they'll screw you.

jesus man, sorry to hear you have such bad luck. now i don't even know if i should bother getting this. all this hassle to save 15 dollars? i piss away more than that a month. and 6-8 weeks for the rebate? god i hate rebates.

i wasn't trying to crap on this, as a matter of fact i would still recommend anyone to get this if they need a mouse! but for me, i am already waiting over a few hundred dollars of rebate, and i just bought 3 mice lately. would still like to get the MX300, but just don't know if its a right decision. so calm your horses.

I thought the 110% was automatic with the PM in the system anymore? So you don't have to argue with them, etc. Maybe they're just starting to roll it out, then ymmv or something. Anyhow, this deal should be pretty easy to work, practically the same exact setup with the z340s back in October. This is what you do:

1) Go to Staples, grab circular.
2) Go to BB, buy MX300 at the cash register, get receipt, rebate form, rebate receipt.
3) Leave BB, dump MX300, rebate form, rebate receipt in the car.
4) Go back in to BB with the main receipt and Staples circular only, nothing else.
5) Ask for PM.

If they refuse PM because there is a rebate, tell them that you can go over to Staples right now and pick up the MX300 for less than BB gives it to you even after the rebate, and that if they don't give you the PM you'll return the MX300 immediately and go pick it up at Staples. (And, if you want to argue the policy some too, you can add something in about calling the BBB about violating a posted store {and chain} policy.) To help matters along, you can even mention things along the lines of "I never send those damn rebates in anyhow because I did one or two a couple years back and they never came in the mail - it's just a scam to get you to buy the stuff" and try to ease the pain.

With the z340s, I was inexperienced (only my second hot deal) and the CSR practically rejected my PM before I even opened up the ad. BB tried to screw around by lowering their price from $xx.99 to $xx.94 so that the listed price minus the MIR was actually lower than the listed price at the PMing store (OM I think). But after I got home I calculated the numbers and figured out that after tax BB's was more expensive - besides the fact that you would have to use a stamp and wait several weeks for the MIR to come in. I came back and the PM came through.
