In other words, an overclocked GTX 470 on a newer stepping.
Nice deal, BTW.

It is a card that has such a big overclock it is competing with the 480 in many games. In some games it is faster, and some games it is slower.

GTX 560v448 vs GTX570 (the cards operate on the same clock speed but the 570 has 48 more shaders, 4 more texturing units)

Had two of these. Only issue I ran into was running bf3 on Ultra settings. BF3 likes to use 1.5gb + vram and these only have 1.25gb.

Had an insane stuttering issue, quite annoying. Otherwise these cards are very capable.

Anyone have this particular model? I'm curious about the fan's performance, particularly when overclocking... heat, noise, etc.

I'm really debating on this as an affordable upgrade from my 460GTX 1GB Hawk but I'm not sure even at $220 it would be worthwhile. Looks like a great deal, but I'm also wary because I've never used this brand before.

My Galaxy GTX560 sounds like the computer is going to lift off when I play BF3 and the Fan looks to be bigger on mine than in that picture.

The 560Ti-448 is generally about 50% faster than a stock 460: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/499?vs=313

But you have a 15% factory overclock on your Hawk, so that brings it down to about 35%. Probably not worth the upgrade, IMO. You probably have plenty of headroom left for a bigger OC anyway.

As an aside, if you have the PSU and motherboard for it, you'd get more bang for your buck by SLIing with this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130752

very tempting, but i'm going to gamble. hoping either the price will drop a little more in the next 2-ish months (or whenever nv releases their newest gpus)

Anyone know how loud this card is? My rig is in my room and the only thing keeping me back is fear of this card sounding like a hair dryer.

I thank you, but I've managed to sell my old system and got $250 for it, so I'm gonna go ahead and upgrade my GPU anyway. Now my debate is a 560ti-448 or a 570.

Edit: After seeing this deal, and knowing how satisfied I was with my MSI 460, I went ahead and just bought it. The free game is icing on the cake.

I upgraded from my 460 to the 560-448 because my 460 had 768mb, which doesn't cut it in battlefield 3 at 1900x1200

The 560-448 with its 1.25GB gives it as much an edge over the 460/560 with 1GB as the additional shaders do. Some games are actually using video memory now!
