Check your local Toys R' Us if you're hot for the SP - that's where I picked up mine today. It was actually there as of Friday. Not sure if this is nation-wide, so YMMV.

Okay, I broke down and got a newspaper w/ the CompUSA ad:
GBA SP $69.99** + Guilty Gear X (GBA) $29.99 = $99.99
** After Savings when you buy Guilty Gear X!
$99.99 - $30 Bundle Instant Savings

You won't find any at CompUSA, they claim they were sold out "in the first 30 seconds" even though when I called they said they had plenty in stock. Best Buy is also (of course) out of the free carrying case.Originally posted by: orangel

Whoa.. you think they might have put some extra protection in it to disable that kind of stuff? That's messed up...

when I push it in I have to force it real hard, and taking it out is a real pain in the ass, it almost seems like I am breaking it.
I wonder what other people think of it. No one has mentioned it yet.

If you have some of the old versions of the Flash Advance Linkers or the new Extreme Versions, the tops of them are oversized and do not fit properly in the new GBA. You could sand it down and it should work fine. I have no problems using my FA256 playing PocketNES.

Best Buy won't PM if the other store is OOS, and since they're right next door I had no chance. Best Buy was also out of the free carrying case (you'd think they'd mention in the ad that they only had like 20 per store). I didn't get one there, since I knew that getting a rain check at a Best Buy is like getting nothing at all. They've never honored any of the ones I've gotten from them.Originally posted by: alm99

I picked mine up today at BB, I had the PM the CompUSA deal so they gave me any game up to $29.99 in place of Guilty Gear X that they were out of. I picked up Zelda, I should have picked up SSX Tricky for $10, but didn't. They were out of the carry the carrying case, but they rain checked it so I will get it.
Yeah, or the TubroGrafix 16 TurboExpress, which was nothing less than the ACTUAL console in portable form, which meant it played all of the regular games! I can't believe that was so overlooked.Originally posted by: aperry
Hey... The Gameboy finally has a backlight! I guess they have finally caught up with the Atari Lynx from 10-15 years ago, which is still IMHO a *much* better machine than any of the GB's ever have been...
