These are actually very nice computers, for a reasonable amount of money. The main drawback is the small HD, at 10 gb, you may be limited. The screens are great, and the computer looks great. I bought the Profile 2 a month or so ago and have been very happy with it, although it has the advantage of a 20gb drive and built in 10/100 network and 10mb phone network cards.

These are great web terminals, but not expandable easily. Although the Profile 3 has usb and has PC card slots, so you could add a harddrive or CD burner in theory.

I also bought one of the Profile 2's from tigerdirect. It arrived next day and was perfect. It looked like it had never been touched. I threw a 256MB chip in there (major ordeal) and plugged in an acer 4x USB burner and everything has been great. Modem and NIC work great. It even had HPNA built in so I can share my MP3's over my home network. If I would have known these Profile 3's were coming out I would have waited. These are much easier to upgrade for only another $100 to $150 and have better processors.

Good deal, but how is the resolution when it comes to gaming?

The price may be great at Tiger Direct, but READ THE WARRANTY info first! If they don't provide it on the web, call them and find out! I work at Gateway, and we have had a lot of people calling in who don't realize that Tiger Direct only gets a very short warranty period on these systems. Also, if the system doesn't live up to your expectations and you wish a refund, Tiger Direct is the one you have to deal with, so if you're comfortable with that, cool.
