Just in case any of you who were waiting for orders to be fulfilled through Amazon, PNY has extended the deadline for postmark to 45 days from purchase date. I have only just now discovered the thread on SD... it seems like a 50/50 chance of getting the rebate judging from ppl's experiences... I will take the matter up with Amazon if PNY refuses me. Amazon had the rebate linked when I bought the card. I just wish I had gotten a screenshot at the time bc there was no ambiguity... there was a deal and there was a rebate... and the wording of the rebate did not seem to rule out a third party being involved...

I replaced the stock cooler with an Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev 2 VGA Cooler without a hitch. Fit well with my Abit IP 35 Pro MB in my CM Mystique RC-631 case.

That is good news!

I finally received my card on Tues, 1-27. A long wait, but it was worth it. After rebate, it will only be $36 (I purchased on 1-1 for only $106). After the rebate, it will basically be a free upgrade from my x1950pro, which was sold quickly on Ebay for $41. I will probably spend a little extra and get an Accelero S1 whenever Newegg gets them in stock again. I don't like the idea of idling at 55c and hitting 70c+ when gaming. The weather is cold now too. I can only imagine what it will be in the summer when my indoor temps are up almost 10F from what they are now.

BTW, my 3Dmark '06 score went up from about 5000 to 9500 with this card!

Thanks much billbillw... it would have been a *very* hefty rebate to have to fight for.

Newegg was OS a few weeks back when I was ready to buy, too, so I got my Accelero S1 Rev 2 from Coolerguys for $24.95 + $9.76 shipping. I realize they have been cheaper, but that was the best I could do at the time (they can be had for a few bucks less now)... and, yes, the Accelero S1 Rev 2 was worth every penny I paid for it... a perfect (silent) match for this card.
