I just got back from an asian cellphone store. Yes, they do have the T68i for ATT but it's $50.
You pay $100 to them and send in the $50 rebate to ATT.
But then this phone requires you to stay on two GSM plans. $40 or $100. That's it! Which really suck.

haktmal, did you haggle with them @ the asian store? Cuz usually if you haggle and talk to them in chinese you can probably get it for free if the phone is around $100 (especially if you tell them you can get paid 28.01 for buying a t68i @ BestBuy). Maybe you might even get them to throw in a car kit too!

I'm going to see if I can try that either today or tomorrow... wish me luck!

btw, do you knw if the GSM networks w/ ATT are offering 500 or 100 minutes? I've been on the website and it's crazy confusing!

I was wondering, does anyone have a SCAN of the AD that has this deal to CircuitCity?

I want to do this deal through Amazon. I called the BVG for CitiClick and they said that it is ok if I do this. This is the plan.

Buy the T68i from Amazon for $249.00
Pricematch to CircuitCity for $121.99

$249.00
-$121.99 (BVG to Circuit City)
-$250.00 (Rebates from Amazon)
+$25.00 (Activation with T-Mobile)
------------
-$97.99

Divide that by 12 months, and you get a T68i phone and save $8.17 Every month on your monthly T-Mobile bill for 1 YEAR!!!

So if anyone can scan that deal for Circuit City, please email me at

davidchan@nyc.rr.com

So maybe I can make this official or something.

Yea, your right Mister Yunta thanks

But, I was also wondering, I went to this asian store and they seems to have t68i's for T-Mobile AND AT&T and after seeing the rebates on Amazon, they said that they are willing to price match it (Amazon's $299 - $250(rebate) = $49.99) but won't match Circuit City's price which would've come out to (after doing all the math)

$299(Amazon)
-------------------------------
$128(PM w/ Circuit City)
-$250(Amazon Rebate)
-------------------------------
$122(You make)

And those of you who knows asian stores know that they won't give you money for free, So I asked them if I could get the phone for free and basically they said that they would do it, and throw in a free car charger kit w/ leather case, if I could show them the Circuit City ad (thus letting them know that I could actually do everything listed above)... so although you won't be making $122, you'll have the phone for free out the door... (kinda of a trade off but you get it right there and then) plus, you get the carkit and case!

(don't really know if this is a good deal tho')

The only problem... does anyone have a scan of CC's ad?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On another note:

The asian store says that AT&T's GSM network is REALLY REALLY bad right now, and that they weren't planning on upgrading/building new towers and pretty much doesn't have any plans in the near future (also they only have 2 GSM service plans to choose from, the $40 and the $99 w/ limited features)

Meanwhile, T-Mobile (although having bad service compariable to Cingular) is already on the GSM network and has also spent millions of $$$ to upgrade and expand their GSM networks and also has more plans to choose from seems to be a better choice (the asian guys says)

Can anyone confirm this?

Comparison Link for your convience:
T-Mobile GSM Service Plans
AT&T GSM Service Plans

For now it seems to be true.... but I dunno *shrugg*
