thats why displays are set up the way they are. they make the product look sweet but when it gets put in real use it isnt as astheticaly pleasing.

Actually the wires can be run under and behind the black panel under the desk. However, my issue with the desk was that each side/esction wasn't that wide. It's a CORNER desk, not a L desk.

As xybertron mentioned, "The main sides are 37inches long and 24 inches deep." That means the corner piece is a 24"x24" square.

This is a good deal especially with $60 of that being INSTANT rebate, as long as you can have another workbench setup elsewhere. Not so good for plopping computers onto and working with hardware.

I have two of the officemax variety (studio rta fierro) and assembled them into a big "U", plus a single rectangular section behind me. I imagine you could do the same with these.

I wish mine had 8mm glass like this, but it is only 5mm :/ not sure how it will handle my replacement monitor (need to replace my 19" that died, it handles the 17" and 15" trinitrons I have on it now on seperate sections of course)

From what I can tell from the staples picture, the one I have looks to have more legroom. Those bars look to be intrusive especially if one wanted to assemble a U

it's a nice little desk. works best for people who have an LCD setup. friend at work was waiting for this to go on special after she missed it on BF. she got the dell 2400 system w/ 1800FP (the $180 upgrade from earlier this year) so it works perfectly for her. I don't think I'd use a CRT with this setup.

I thought about doing the same thing too. But it's not possible. The corner piece connects AND holds everything together. I have a heater radiator in my corner, so the desk would block up too much space.

You dont need to use the middle piece.
I'm not using it and is using it as 2 seperate desks.
The middle piece is just that. The middle piece.

i don't have the glass version, but i do have the wood version and i'd have to say it's a great table for the price. i have two 19 inch CRTs + a 17 inch LCD and works swell!
