nsxtcy8, I had the same thing happen to me. Here's my theory. I live in Vancouver, WA, which is right on the Oregon boarder. There is a Staples in Oregon that is about 10 min. from my house via the freeway. I think that either 1)Staples will ship from a location in your state reguardless of how close you are to a staples in another state or 2)That the scheduled delivery date is simply based off your zip code and has no meaning on wether or not they ship from the closest staples.

From past experience, all the Staples CSR that I spoke to tell me that all items in my area are shipped from a warehouse, unless you have some prior agreement with your local Staples will it ship from the local one.

wish local staples stores carried this software (assuming they dont because it is a Ingram Micro stock #), then we could just walk in to a B&M tomorrow, and walk out with the deal.

My Zip is now out of stock of the $149 ones, what do people think about getting the $199 ones (green/orange) and PM to the webpage thats says they are $149. Prolly not worth the hassle.

If you didn't get the color you wanted i think you can take it to the b+m staples to exchange it. That's what my stepdad did on the visor deluxe/target pm awhile back. Just make sure you don't open the color you receive (keep it stillsealed) and if the b+m store has a color i think will will do an exchange. My stepdad had no problem.

oh...just ordered the blue one for myself and the software for $59.xx plus tax. it went thru without sayin anything was out of stock. my zip here is 65583

If the local store is willing to do an exchange, then they'd better be willing to do a return.

thanks for the advice. thing is, im not too concerned about the color I wind up with-I'm just annoyed that the one I chose seems to be OOS (not sure, but it's not in my order status-waiting on an email). whatever happens happens, but it'd be nice to get this in my hands before I have move back into college and my parents have to ship it to me.
