I got a B&D random orbiting sander for about $23 on my first trip. I also got some 2 and 3 foot pine shelf kits for $1.79 and $2.39 respectively the next day. I have been going almost everyday to the one which is 5 minutes from my house. It seems that each day something new appears. Check back often and check all of the Home Depots in your area because the selection definitely varies by the store.

I got the Rigid 16 gallon shop vac for $77. Nice deal I think. This vac is so powerful it will suck the spots right off your Dalmation.
Also bought a spiral saw for $54, regularly $90.

I was at my local Home Depot yesterday only to find that their 40% off sale was on crap that doesn't sell well normally. I saw flower pots, ugly 5 year light bulbs, 5ft extension cords, discontinued faucets, door knobs.......just crap. The guy at the tool department tried to sell me a RECONDITIONED Paslode framing nailer for $10 less than the NEW price. I told him he was out of his mind, especially since a LOEWS just opened their doors a mile down the street.:|

I think this is still going on. I saw it at the store in Germantown, MD on sunday... but I had to be somewhere so I didn't get a chance to go inside... I hope it's still on today... I need to put some hardwood flooring down in my home.

I'm in the process of building a house and needed appliances.

I got a $400 microwave oven-hood combuination origianlly $400 -- marked down and then 40% off for a grand total of $167.

A also picked up a dishwasher -- regular $320 for $150.00

Here's the kicker..................... Would you believe the dishwasher and micro-hood fit into my 1996 Camry 4dr?

Yep, poor HD guy was offering to help me load the micro-hood into the trunk. I said THAT isn't going in the trunk. Put it in the back seat. He asked what I opened the trunk for. I turned around and pointed at the toher cart he did not know was mine. He said, "You gotta be kidding"! I said, nope......... got bungee cords ready. He grabbed the twine.

20 minutes later I was pulling into the driveway with my loot. Now I can afford that new refride.

<< I purchased a pack of 100 coax crimp connectors >>

LOL. I saw those and thought "my god - what poor soul would buy those things...at any price?"
I remember watching my dad fuss with those things in the early 70's for his TV. Then in the 80's I knew people who tried to use them for computers. Those poor saps just kept crimping and crimping hoping that somehow, if they crimped just right, they could connect two computers to one another. Of course it never actually worked, but some folks spent years trying before they gave up. I can't even imagine what you'd do with them nowadays. Trout lures?

They had plenty of those at several locations (Alpharetta, Roswell, Cumming, State Bridge Rd, woodstock). I don't know the model/sku numbers but there are three models which are ventless which range from $200 to $329 before the 40% off.

This is a great sale. Picked up 3 fans (the one with the remote) for $60 each (reg $129). two storm doors for $108 each (reg $280 on sale for $180 then 40% off).

zapy: could you post some more info on that microwave & dishwasher you picked up? If they're the ones I'm thinking of, our local HD had the microwave cheaper, but the dishwasher for more...any more info on those two products'd be appreciated.

We picked up a number of items on sale over the weekend, the biggest being a Maytag 7100A dishwasher (MSRP $539, on sale for $397.xx, got it for $240+tax) and a nice rug for $161 after discount. They had several cordless drills on clearance, from 7.2V to 18V, and a 14.4V recirprocating saw. I wish I got the John Deere lawn mower they had (12hp, $260 after discount) but couldn't convince the wife in time.

Go everyday and check for new stuff. I went tonight and scored BIG.

Can anyone beat these deals?

Echo blower/vac reconditioned, reg price $199, marked down to $100, final price $40 (checker took off 60%).
Excell 2400 psi pressure washer - NEW, reg price $399, marked down to $159, final price $95.40.
Excell 2600 psi pressure washer - NEW, reg price $699, marked down to $280, final price $167.76.

They also had brand new John Deere 6.5hp mowers reg price $499 for $199

Looks like they are working hard to get rid of the stuff.

Hey vfrjim, from your first post, it looks like you work for HD. Not to be too greedy, but would they refund the difference if the items went to 60% off?

I checked out the mowers--they are nice!! Not everything in the store has gone to 60% off--including the mower. I'll be all over it if it does.Is this 60% off only in some locations or are they doing it nationally??

Visited the local HD today most items were still 40%. Saw some Bruce hardwood flooring 11sq ft package that was 60% at $49.99 and a wire/wood table 60% at 79.99. Spoke to one sales person who said "some items will be marked 60% while many aren't and it'll just be a surprise when you pay". I also asked if they will be marking everything that is 40% to 60% and she said only some items will go 60% and that they may not get around to marking everything.
Picked up a few rolls of 500ft of twine for .05 each and some cans of Brass Restorer .01 each.

I bought one each (AAA and AA) for 40% off $3.60, and when I went to the Target next door, I saw these are selling at $7.99 each. Oh, BestBuy wants $8.99 for them -- what a rip-off!

I picked up some 14w floresent bulbs 2 pack for $3.54 and a couple 12 gallon plastic storage tubs for $2.87 each and one BD 5" random orbit palm sander for $23.98. All from the Kent, WA HD.

Great deals. I might go back tomorrow for more storage tubs and light bulbs. The bulbs burn whiter then the 5 pack i picked up a couple weeks ago at Costco.

One of the best deals there is the Energy saving light bulbs where the local electrical company is giving an instant $5 rebate, with the 40% off is ended up costing .35 in my state, now that it is 60% off, they will PAY YOU to take them, what a deal!!
