The only thing that seems shady about ripplehost is that the password fields are all input type=text instead of type=password, so your passwords get typed out in a plain text field (instead of *'s or similar.) And all over non-SSL lines. That's very poor security. I wonder if the admin has plans to fix that...

once I have my domain name and ripplehost setup,
I can have 5 email addresses and use outlook for them?
and the 100 megs are for the site and email together right?

Their current 6 MONTHS FREE WEB HOSTING offer ($9.95 setup fee, 30 days money back guarantee) is awesome.

RossMAN,
Wondering if you could give a little more info on the auto installer thing you mentioned. I've been with dixiesys for a year or so now and they're starting to head another way in their business , and I want some more space for my site, so I'm thinking of switching... not to mention my church has been wanting to have me put up a site page for announcements/calendar and such so this might be a great deal.

In other words: it's a purely cosmetic thing and doesn't reduce security.

1. What is the uptime? (How often are they down?)
2. How fast are the servers? What are the real-world transfer speeds? Meaning, will someone with a Cable internet download at the same speeds as someone with a T3 line? Will the bottleneck be your connection to the net or the server?
