Hot Hosting Deal...

A friend of mine hosts their web sites with Web Guyz and got an e-mail earlier today about a 50% sale starting at 10 pm tonight and notified me and well

I just signed up for 2 accounts...

Web Guyz is giving 50% off all their accounts to the next 100 web sites. I know I just cleaned up on 2 of them!

The prices are ridiculous - Between $4.50 and $13.00 per YEAR

I got 2 Plan #7's

The deal was offered to current customers first then launched to the general public at 10 pm according to the e-mail.

Not here to start any issues but I was in the Cyberwings chat room (where I have 3 accounts, waiting on 2 more) when 2 people came in and mentioned this site (in particular the Cyberwings thread) so I figured I'd pass along THIS deal.

Actually they offer up to 150 MB of space (I got 2 Plan #7's which have 100 MB of space).

I will admit that Cyberwings has a better offer and I have 3 web sites with them (waiting on 2 more) but I don't see a 2-3 week wait at Web Guyz so that's why I'm moving 2 of my sites there. I have a friend who hosts with them and he claims no major problems so 2 of my "smaller" sites will be moving there.

Didn't know my profile did not appear (as you can see, I just registered tonight).

3 web sites I host with Cyberwings?

Sure:
www.takeatripnow.com (still have done nothing with, debating if I will or not)
www.wegotwinners.com (it's a complete mess, we were popular for about 3 weeks then I lost interested in updating it. Maybe for the new NFL season)

The other web site, I don't want published at this time for 2 reasons (1. It's a personal web site for friends and family which no offense to anybody here but they are not and 2. It's not finished, I am using Front Page to design it).

Don't even know why I'm trying to prove whether I work for them or not.

and to rethink what i wanted to get across...
i was there last night in chat when that had come up also so i can atleast vouch for ya being there..

we all started posting somewhere with some deal that we felt was pretty damn good and stuck our foot in the water , if we find the waters full of pirahna, damn if anyones gonna swim there....they'll jus sit on the boadwalk and tell all there friends how pretty the water is and they'll join them sitting on the bench also----which means steal the deals without ever contributing things they have found...damn, ya'll done made me wonder should i go back to bed?..LOL

i know i havnt posted but a handful of times and didnt sign-up for an account till they changed the font and made it harder for those not signing in BUT i have read these forums seems to me like since late 99?, so i have seen quite a few changes and quite a few happenings around here, i am sure i'm not the only old man around here with low postings and young account date ..

gosh, I'm still "in love" with the DixieSys hosting I found here at "Hot Deals" - the small reseller deal is 10 domains for $10/month; 200 MB total; 6 GB xfer / month, AFAIR.

Just by reselling only one domain hosting for $10+/month, I get "free" hosting for 9 other domains for whatever.
Mostly friends / family tiny personal web sites.

Obviously, at these PER YEAR prices, I'm very tempted.
Have to keep an eye to switching to them.
Somehow, just doesn't seem like a long term viable pricing level.
Hell, $10/month for 10 "beefier" sites is probably close enough to break even.

Aside: Bandwidth alone supposedly goes for ~$1.75/GB/month - essentially ~$10/6GB/month.

Looks like Cyberwings has completely changed EVERYTHING

They are basically giving you reseller plans for your "individual hosting accounts"
