2 rebates is too many? I would think that the $ amount of rebates is more important than the quantity unless they are like 4 or something.

It was also 2 rebates on the free after rebate 500 watt ultra x connect PSU.

He's probably referring to the amount of the rebates, not the number of them

So, has Radio Shack "partnered" with TigerDirecto or something? It seems they've been carrying Ultra brand stuff - which I thought was TD's rebadge.....

It appears that these are Patriot RAMs. Probably not as compatible as Corsair Value Select. Also think these are CAS3, not CAS2.

For $35/GB, I find it really hard to resist this for non-gaming rigs.

Must... not... reach.... for.... credit.... card....

Sorry your link doesn't work. They apparently temporarily store the searches with a session ID. If you want to search for it go here:
http://ultraproducts.com/forums/search.php
And put in ULT31664 (from radio shack page) for the search term.

Anyway official answer on timings:
http://ultraproducts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=514
2-3-2-5 2.5V double-sided.
Pretty good timings if you ask me. BTW,
Another official post has some additional info:
http://ultraproducts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=725
Our RAM is manufactured in the same facility as the Patriot RAM.

Generic 1 gig of PC3200 starts at $60ish on pricewatch and newegg.
Cas2.5 stuff starts at $70ish on newegg.
Cas 2 stuff starts at $90ish on newegg.
Here's the hits of 1 gig pc3200 cas2 at newegg, includes a patriot with the exact timings of this (probably the same chip).

Nope, see above official answer that I linked in this post

Hm. Rebate #1 is 8-10 weeks, rebate #2 is 10-12 weeks.
Grr.
Well the ultra rebate does have an option to pay for superfast service where they send out your rebate within a day or two of getting your submission in the mail. Its the $40 one (with the FAR ultra x connect PSU it was a $50 one), they deduct I think about $5 from the total rebate check. So if getting part of your money back fast is important you can go that route.

Thats fine, there are a lot of rebate haters, and I understand why they dont like it. I always prefer no rebates myself, but I dont mind getting the often better deals with rebates. But if he was a rebate hater he should have said so straight out

Got one. One rebate gets filed online, the other is a mail in.
Filled online but you still have to mail in part of the submission. BTW, on the Ultra form I got they were talking about accepting the original packing slip OR original UPC. So theoretically if anyone can dig up an additional rebate somewhere that needs the original UPC this deal will be even hotter.

I'm amazed nobody has mentioned this is 2x512MB sticks rather than 1x1GB stick. Makes a pretty big difference.

well, according to THIS ...it is 1x1gb stick, and if you got 2x512mb sticks, than someone screwed up somewhere. Has anyone bought these sticks earlier and confirmed they're cas2? because a 1gb stick running at cas2 at this price is pretty darn rare.

from the ad at RS:

"Ultra Dual Channel DDR Memory modules ship in a beautifully crated mahogany box"

Sounds like 2x 512 to me.

From the Ultra website:
Dual channel PC 3200 Part# ULT31022
PC3200 1024 MB Part # ULT31664

Ratshack list the part# as 31664. Looks like one module to me.
