Does anyone know what the limits on the coupon are? Is it one system per customer or one coupon per order?

Seems like the prices are higher then last time. Getting all the options you could last time to get to $1500 now puts you at $1750+. I can't remember but maybe there was a free memory upgrade last time or something.

EDIT: Also is there a listing of battery life somewhere? I'm curious to see how long a XPS can go running a Geforce 6800 vs the 9300 and it's ati x300.

Yargh, now there doesn't appear to be a single inspiron that has the touch stick in the keyboard.. I hate the stupid touchpads...

I would say check the review site like www.computers.com or some other hardware sites that review laptops

XPS GEN 2 lasted for 142 minutes.

Can I make the dumb assumption that the current discount on system, ie. $300 off Inspiron 6000, will be removed?

i know that on the 700m, prices were raised by 30$ for the dvd burner, 20$ for the 80gig hd, and i think a 50$ base price for the 700m from last week. hopefully they won't raise prices on notebooks on wednesday.

zaku, how much was the 600m system? this promo is only good for systems 1499 and above.

How much battery life does the 700m get on the 8-cell battery?

Do any of the notebooks have good vid cards besides the 9300 and the xps? The cheapest I can get the 9300 with a 6800 is $1798. So minus the 750 discount is $1048. Didnt dell used to have a notebook with the mobility 9700? I want something that will play hl2 :-D

700m is samller, has smaller but better screen and keyboard quality is way better than 600 (the keyboard size might seem small but you will get used to it).

700m smaller widescreen and lighter. 600m is regular ratio screen and a bit heavier

700m = white and silver accents
600m = blue and silver

Any idea how small or cramped the 700m's keyboard is?

I wonder if the local Dell kiosk has a 700m or 9300 on display?

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

I just called and the Portland, Oregon dell kiosks have the following Inspiron laptops on display:

1000
1150
8600
9200
700m

I'll visit them tomorrow to "test drive" the 700m and make my decision.
