EDIT 12/5/2002
------------------------------
ocsystem has the best deal if you want an overclocked card
newegg seems to be slammin' the best prices on this card on the web

comments from other AT'rs, below...
------------------------------

OCsystem.com rocks the LOWEST PRICE including shipping on the ATI PRO that I have seen in a long time.

They also have the coolest cooling add-ons (which I assume they recommend, optionally to everyone) to ensure their computers don't overheat. I recommend this to everyone who buys a generic high end system, you don't wanna mess with high temperatures. Buy the crappiest GPU cooler option (ThermalTake Blue Orb $8) and 8 Tin Coated Copper RAMSink ($18).

I'm in the market to buy this product in 6 months, but anyone who wants a hot deal NOW, this is it.

Anybody have any advice on a good time to purchase electronics after Christmas? Are the good prices immediately after when they begin liquidation sales, or mid-January early February style?

Please let a fellow AT'r know! Niggaaa - peeace.:disgust::|:Q:frown:

:disgust: How could you go wrong with a company that has such great evaluations as these:

What an absolute joke these people are. Ordered a 9500 Pro. Says 3 days to ship 3-4 days to arrive. 7 days later, and they hadn't even shipped it. And trying to contact them is a joke. 6 emails were ignored, and the idiots on the phone don't have a clue. Do EVER buy ANYTHING from these crooks!!!!

i have had a HORRID time with this company. it was very nice at the beginning. i ordered, and it got shipped fairly fast. now heres the problem, i ordered the chieftech aluminum case, with a window, in the color black. also i ordered 3 case fans, and a set of ata round cables, and a cathode light. they sent me a Silver case, no window, and the cables, cathode, and fans. i contacted them within 24 hours of it being recieved. i left a voicemail, waited a bit, no response, i left another voicemail after waiting on hold for an hour. still no response. i sent multiple emails pertaining to my problem and still no reply. just a couple days ago i got through. they agreed to send me the case cover with the window. but only in black. a fat lot of good its gonna do me to have a black case cover on a silver case. and after reading all the stories here, i am wary about sending it back for an rma at all! they were quick to rememdy the situation once i got in their face, but that is NOT how a store should be run. its the customer last here. and i would not recommend them to anyone.

I ordered a 512MB stick of PC2700 CL2 memory on July 2. They charged my card the same day, site said in stock, shipping in three days. July 14th, site still said in stock, I emailed customer service. July 16th, I receive notice that memory is backordered. Finally shipped the 19th. Meanwhile, price went up $20- at least I got the lower price. Plugged it in my A7V333, won't boot any faster than PC2100 CL2.5 speed. Possibly because of finicky motherboard, but I'm buying name-brand next time.

These guys are pain in the butt to deal with. The prices are so-so and shipping rates are fair, but it takes forever to get the goods out the door. And everything shipped requires a signature at time of delivery. Even the nickel-and-dime stuff. When I asked to have my order shipped without signature requirement I was told it was policy. Who is paying for shipping anyway? Now I have to drive 20 miles to pick up my order at the UPS terminal after already waiting 3 days for them to ship.

Even better: Lifetime Rating: 2.93

I've ordered twice from them with no problems, had to return a stick of ram once and they refunded me BEFORE I even sent the mem out to them. They were slow to e-mails but it's nothing a simple call didn't take care of.

me don't think he meant it in THAT way -- it's a lot less offensive than some of the usernames of some people around here but that's just mmo
peace without saying THAT
my gfx are off, but is the price mentioned anywhere in this thread?
the link said $279 after i clicked around a bit, but right below it says some stuff about they aren't responsible for typographical errors? hmmm

I bought a mouse from them (well I think it was the mouse). I believe they shipped USPS the next day and everything got here just fine a few days later.

hmm... ATI chipset at NewEgg, but not built by ATI

I guess it makes no difference in the end though.

Yeah, I'm sporting my 1.0 rating because of a post I made about hot deals on beer, I didn't know there were so many non-drinkers who didn't care about a good deal on 40! "Aint tha a kick in da head?" - Dean Martin

What's the difference between Power Color, the cheap one on New Egg, and the OEM Built by ATI card on OCsystem?

I like to use Froogle.com, Pricewatch.com, Pricegrabber.com, and mySimon.com to hunt down prices.

I have the same issue with them The 2 stick of PC3200 are not stable on my new ASUS A7N8X Deluxe. this ram is recommended by Abit for their Nforce2 board so I thought it should work.
Guess what on 2 different boards is not stable over 150 Mhz and has corrupted my disks twice.

What really pisses me off is that the Crucial I normally buy (1 stick over a year old @ PC2100) works fine @ 166, go figure.

It looks good but cannot remove the Copper heatsink to view the chips.
I am returning the memory and hope they sent the right stuff. If worse come to worse I will dispute this with my CC company.
