Little Snitch is worth $25 on it's own (it's like ZoneAlarm but minus the firewall - for controlling which programs have Internet access). Nice find!

Hot deal, I'm in. The last one I did at MacHeist offered TextMate along with 10 other apps. TextMate alone was almost worth the full $49. I'm sure there will be a little gem in here or something fun whether I wind up using them or not. At the very least, you're supporting shareware developers, which I think is a good thing.

Might as well report on the cool apps included (from my perspective of course):

Cocktail - definitely worth it - a nice GUI for system tools
Graphic Converter - the missing base app for simple editing/converting images
Fetch - the expected GUI FTP client
Intaglio - image editor, not as big a deal given Graphic Converter and the fact that I have Photoshop.
TechToolPro - sounds cool - as soon as it unlocks

nice to have bonus apps:
GarageSale - I happen to want to sell a few items on Ebay, this will make it nicer
Amadeus Pro - I also happen to want to digitize a few LPs

These guys make serious bank off of these sales. Last time, like 3 guys running the sale made $.5M in a few weeks.

I couldn't turn this down. $49 for $220 worth of software that I'll definitely use, plus that much again in good apps I get for free. GraphicConverter is a great application that for me basically replaced Photoshop/Image Ready for basic graphics editing and resizing. Cocktail and Little Snitch are good utilities for any Mac OS X user. Tech Tools Pro is a great HW diagnostic.

Interesting - as of right now, with 6,000 sales @ $49/each, they have brought in $294k. Although surely they have to pay something to each software vendor for their products.

tuaw.com has a posting where one shareware author disparages the first big macheist. His math indicates that each vendor made about $3.84 (10 apps, so $38.40) leaving $11 for the remainder. Some of that remainder went to charity (don't recall the amount). However, not all the included apps are equal, and I'm sure they weren't even parts.

Also, last time I recall this going on for like a week, and they sold something like 100K bundles. Several of the authors stated they made more that week than they usually do in a year off their efforts. Additionally, many were about to release new major versions, which the bundle sales were potential upgraders for. I'm sure the last bundle worked out really well for most involved, as it was pretty much free advertising and a much larger community started using their apps.

I'm surprised that this time with TechTools Pro being unlocked that the sales haven't gone through the roof. But I'm happy with the fact that I got TTP.
