Of my amaozn orders, they've managed to botch over half of them(wrong product, wrong upc which I needed for a rebate, delayed shipping, cancelled, etc.).

Damn! I just ordered some items 2 days ago and shipping fee was over 20 bucks. And they've already shipped all the items. I wish they wouldn't be so fast in shipment so that I had a chance to cancel my order and buy the items again

I've ordered at least a thousand dollars worth of stuff from them....I've personally never had any problems with them. They've always worked with me. My friend had a delay in shipping one time. Sent him a GC along with his order when it arrived. No company is perfect. At least they try to rectify any situation. That's just my 2 cents on the issue...

i've bought from Amazon many many times (using tons of PH GC's) and i've never had any complaints. not only did they ship everything on time, but they have the best customer service. one time they ran out of Plextor cdrw, so after a phone call, i received a Spressa with free overnight shipping. (they even refunded my regular shipping charge) i said the same in a different post, and i'll say it again. for me, Amazon has the best customer service on internet.

Man, you guys are harsh! I've ordered from Amazon dozens of times and they always ship my items to me in 2-4 days. To me, that's fast. Compared to other online retailers, it's VERY fast. Their prices have always been just average, but I think their shipping costs are reasonable. Again, compared to some other online retailers who rape you with their shipping charges, I think Amazon's a bargain.

btw, have y'all noticed that buy.com has incredibly varied shipping times? If they have an item in stock, I literally get it in 2 days almost always. Whereas if an item is backordered, it could take months!

Anyways, like someone else said, everyone's had different experiences.

I've never had a problem with Amazon to be honest.

However, does anyone remember the Amazon debacle a month ago with the news breaking out of their price point pricing experiment? How dvdtalk.com members found out and blew the whistle and how the Amazon brass apologized profusely about it culminating to Amazon blowing out dvd's and dvd box sets to appease dvdtalkers with a "we're sorry and here are some deals to help sooth out the hard feelings"?

That really depends. If you ask 1000 people, you'll get 1000 different story about amazon. The thing is, no store is perfect, and Amazon is trying to be the No.1. Maybe that's why it got so much comments.

Amazon no longer lists the 800 # on their site. Everything is by email now. I had to wait a day for the response on the Router rebate (they put up the correct rebate now).

Their CS was great when I could talk to them. We had our camcorder for over 2 months when it broke. I called to get an invoice for waranty purposes but they upgraded us to a much better model instead of us having to deal with the waranty and sent it out to me that day with a label to ship the broken one back.

I placed an order on Oct. 30th and of course they charged me shipping.
On the 1st I sent them an email asking if they could remove the shipping charges since the order hadn't shipped yet, or did I have to cancel everything &amp; re-order it to get the free shipping <g>. They decided remove the shipping chrages......


My main problem with Amazon is that they are out of stock on to many items.

I've ordered over $170 of stuff last month from them with nothing but coupons &amp; free gift certificates. (of course most of that was on sale too).
