<< I bought the Minolta 1100L from Costco for about $100 after the rebate +tax. It's an excellent laser printer, no problems with Win2k. I'd imagine anything run on Win2k would do fine on XP.
I'd avoid a Lexmark personally, not because I've bought the Minolta already (which I could return if I want, gotta love 90days policy). But I've had a Lexmark laser at work, and it's broken down twice. I just don't think it has a good reputation. For $30 more, you can get the Minolta 1100L with a 3000page rated toner, and the 4mb buffer. >>
Just to let you guys know that the Minolta 1100L doesn't work with certain print servers (like the ones on routers). I bought a 1100L a while ago from staples, but then I had to return it and get a lexmark E210 because it wouldn't work with the print server in my SMC router.
So far i'm happy with my E210. The print quality is ok, but when I think i'm getting a laser printer for the price of an inkjet printer, I have no complains
