Oh yeah, the giftwrapped version is still listed. When I looked through thweir entire mp3 players list, they only listed the 2300 under sensory science, and it had a not available status next to it.

I check the status on output.com and they cancelled my order, but my flooz is not refunded. and I've never received a single email explaining this cancellation of order.

Yep, same. I'm waiting for a phone call from a CSR. Looks like I might get a Rio 600 as a replacement. I think I can auction that off to make up for my losses. It's better than having to go through the hassle of refunding Flooz, especially considering that I did the free $25 deal.

Faint! Just check the status of my order placed on Dec. 8, it is cancelled. I did receive confirmation email of my order right after I placed it. And I think lots of guys who placed order after I did still got theirs. I just wonder could we do something about this? To me,
this is definately a violation of their next day shipping policy and when I placed the order, there is nothing on the web telling me it would be a back order, couldn't we get some compensation for this?

Same here, I got my confirmation email while it was still in stock on their web site.

I actually called yesterday to a manager named chak or something, he could not care less about getting my money back. I told him that in order to place this order I purshased $100 flooz and if it is refuned, I am stucked because I can not spend this money anywhere else, and since they cancelled the order so late( and cancellation email still not coming yet, and flooz in still not refunded), I do not have enough time to buy something else and get it shipped before Christmas (it was a gift for my wife).

"Well, I am sorry to hear that, but we have 3,600+ items on our site and we do overnight shipping, you can definitely find something else your wife likes from us."

We have to do something to protect us from hearing this piece of crap.

I agree this is total BS.

You can't just advertise something for overnight delivery, send a confirmation email, then have it on backorder for a week and then cancel it with no warning and no compensation.

I talked at length with a CSR today about the situation and he said that there are a few left, like 331 more or something. They will resurrect that number of orders based on seniority (time you placed it).

If they don't, he basically said I'm SOL; all they would do is "help me find" another similar product, which he admitted would be no different from me browsing the site and buying it myself at full price.

I have always been a fan of outpost.com but this is bull and I'm not going to stand for it.

Insight.com tried to pull some very similar ish with me regarding a bait and switch ("out of stock&quot deal and they gave me my money back, let me keep the inferior product, and allowed me to buy the real thing again when it came in stock. That's real service.

For now, Outpost is suck (unless my name is on that list).

I had to call to get them to give me back my flooz. Still haven't received an email saying my order was canceled but it says it on the web site. The lady I talked to said they had been trying to get these in stock for months, then why did it say they were in stock last week??? This bites though, what am I gona do with that much flooz?

Just got a call from a friendly Outpost,com CSR this morning...

My name was on the list, the 2100 it's on it's way, and Outpost is off my list...

Hope you guys have the same luck...

(Obviously Outpost is no longer suck)

QUICK! There's still a chance to get the 2100!

Whoo hoo! I called up, sounded perturbed, thought that I had been given the run-aroind(as I had talked to +10 different CSR's), and then was told I'd be called back. He just barely called back. He told me that they did get an 'unexpected shipment' yesterday, and that I would be shipped a 2100 tonight! He took all my information and gave it to a supervisor that was handling the hundreds of orders for this. I'm all set! I called first at 4:00p EST!

BTW: I paid with Flooz!

Has anyone who received the 2200 from Outpost experienced problems with their MP3?
I gave it as a Xmas gift and now the person says it doesn't work. How embarrassing.
When he turns on the player, the display appears then immediately disappears and dies. Changing new batteries doesn't seem to help any.

Anyone have any idea what may be wrong? Did Outpost give me a defective product or it is something that can be fixed?

Dealing with returns with Outpost will be complicated. Any suggestions on how I should deal with Outpost?

Thanks for your help.

The one I got was an Xmas present to my daughter. Works 100% fine, is 64 MB memory (someone else posted a message about getting 16 MB). Lots of neat gadgets-phone memo, voice memos, radio. Sound quality is excellent-I am pleased.

I guess YMMV on this one-sounds like you should return the one you got-I doubt you can exchange it.
