okay, i figured it out, but unfortunately it won't work for me anymore.

the most important thing is YOU NEED YOUR CUSTOMER NUMBER.

if you've placed an order w/ staples before, just call 8003staple, and ask for your customer number.

then call back to place the order.

when you apply the $100 coupon, they will first ask for the initial 5 digits (which you can get off bens)

then, they will ask you for the other numbers on the coupon: give them your customer number and then add a 2 at the end. this way the customer number will match the coupon.

but you may not be able to do this if you've called them and tried to get other CSRs. the staples computer system shows the orders you have tried to make. so the last time i called, that biyatch conferenced a manager on the call (without telling me!), and asked for my business rewards number. then i told them i had another call on the line, and i put them on hold for about 4 minutes before they hung up (hehehehehe).

anyway, good luck to all who can get this deal. unfortunately i cant.

I suspect that the differing results that people are getting with regard to the acceptance of the coupons is a function of the call center that one is being directed to. For example, if the preponderance of the unsuccessful attempts are from the West Coast, perhaps CSRs' at call centers where the calls from the West Coast are channeled, have been notified to be more stringent in the application of these coupons than may be the case at other call centers.

<< How many San Diego people are on these bargain boards? Seems like more people mention they are from San Diego than any other city that I have noticed. >>

probably because san diego is the best place to live! nice and sunny out here, been all winter mostly.

bensbargains says it is expired. is it?

<< OOS from the East and Staples will not restock this 17" LCD. So happy now coz this deal is so tempting. Now I save $440~

Dunno why I still wanna order this. I am fine with my 3-year-old Viewsonic 19" E790B for my PC, 19" Samsung DF955 for my second PC. Weeks ago I ordered the Envison 15" LCD and it is now sitting in my garage and eating dust. And then last week I ordered 19" Dell P991 Trinitron. My wife has been threatening me with divorce coz obviously I love monitors more than her.
>>

LOL... I think you'd better try the 15' lcd. It is much better than CRT when you read a lot on computer.

Here's a slight variation. Went to Envision web site to see the spec and located the "where to buy it" button. And it listed Costco as one of the vendor (and among the listed retailer they are the lowest) at $499.99. All other price search engine is coming up at the lowest of $539.00.

Print out the page from Costco and brought it to the only store within my zip in NY that had it in stock (Qty. 2 - 1 left now).

Got the mgr to PM 110% at $499.99 to $494.99. Luckly due to layoff in my place there were dividend reward coupon going to those that are no longer working in my office and use the $100 Envision coupon at the B&M. I had thought about using a printable $30 off $150 but decided not to.

Out the door in NY $394.99 before tax.

I still love CRT monitor coz I do a lot of online gaming. The image quality on CRT is much better than on LCD when gaming unless the LCD has DVI and you have a decent video card. I am not sure whether my 15" Envision LCD has a DVI port coz I've still not yet undressed this Barbie.

I do have my customer number with me. But if I post it here, and more than one try to order the LCD, what will happen?

I did receive that $100 coupon, but wife does not allow me to use it

UPDATE for San Diego:
i called, and they said that they do not have it in stock, and would not let me order it from a different store (they checked the only Mira Mesa store). They did however say that they are getting a shipment tomorrow, and will have it in stock on Thursday, so try then.

DOES ANYONE WHO HAS THE COUPON, when does it expire? Hopefully not by Thursday. A 20% off coupon would be pretty good right now.

Well, White Mouse, my wife is a "little" more understanding or at least tolerant. If you cannot use your coupon, I certainly will if you PM with it. Thanks

I went to Staples today after lunch... they have both monitors there .. the 15' and 17', I wasn't crazy about the image quality, it looked kind of fussy! but I am sure it's because of the way they hooked it up and the video card they used !!
I am not sure, is it possible to get the same deal at the store? they said they don't have the 15' in stock !! I just don't get it ! it was there in front of me !!

kermalou, no dvi but you can use the vga connector. Also, Staples prob has it hooked through some type of switch box or something to display all the monitors. That's why it's a little fuzzy. I have seen this monitor and it isn't an SGI or Sony, but then again it's 1/3 their price. My personal opinion is that this is prob the hottest deal on LCD right now.

I tried to buy another one online using the coupon codes and the staples
website asked for the complete 16 digit coupon number.

Can somebody email me the complete 16 digit coupon number?

Thanks

i would if i could, but it is my company's account, and staples has everything on file, so i would not want to get in trouble.
