just so you know, the usps still runs on the holidays, just not the carriers. the usps runs 24/7/365 so stuff still gets moved around, then on the next day the carrier comes out he gets lots of work

Got mine too - all were Micron just like the basic 1GB DDR2 sold by Crucial for $26. each on their site. Excellent! Overpackaged by HP though.

Well, I couldn't take it any more. I ordered 5 from CostCentral. I'll sell one of them to a friend or ebay it to recoup some of the costs. Now all I need is a motherboard and processor to go with it

I ordered from CostCentral on 1/17. Didn't get a conf. till yesterday 1/24. The tracking data shows shipped on 1/23.

At least it's on the way!

This has probably been answered before, but I didn't see anything after reading this thread through...

These are decent quality modules I'm assuming?? I've always bought value RAM in the past, and this looks too good to pass up... and these overclock decently enough??

Thanks.

Most people say they overclock to DDR2-800 easily. That's what I'm hoping for. That would give me 3.6GHz out of my Q6600, assuming the motherboard and cpu can go that high and like this memory.

These seem to mostly (if not all) be Micron modules identical to Crucial (Micron's in-house memory store) basic module part no. CT12864AA667 - Link: http://www.crucial.com/store/p...x?IMODULE=CT12864AA667 . Micron OEMs modules for lots of other companies. I've always had good luck with Micron/Crucial. I've got all my parts now, so I'll be assembling/testing for a while .

NEW QUESTION:
. I've been searching these things for something I can be sure is the Serial No., but I see two different numbers that seem to be unique to each module on the HP sticker on the modules. One is in the upper right corner and is labeled "Security ID" and the other is preceded by S/C:. Can anyone say for sure which it is.
. I've got a message in to HP support about it. We'll see whether both answers match.

Thanks,
.bh.

I bought a few of thsese sticks back when the deal was about $13/each AR. Both worked perfectly in a Dell Vostro @ 667mhz. The rebates were absurdly fast too (2-3 weeks max)! I had no idea what the serial was so I think I left it blank but I had no rebate problems.

Some people received Samsung modules early in the first deal instead of Micron but I have not heard anyone complaining lately. I received mine today directly from HP but I ordered from PCsuperstore.com. They are Micron modules with the famous D9 chips.

In the original deal some people called HP rebate center about the serial and they said it was not needed but most of us used the S/C# anyway because it looks like a serial number.

I hope my rebate gets to me quickly too. My first one from the previous deal got to me in UNDER TWO WEEKS after I mailed it.

This briefly went to negative $0.05 at PCSuperstore with FREE shipping. I placed in cart and went to Google checkout and then thought that I should go through the main site. By the time I registered, they changed the price to $13 per stick after rebate! Damnit!

I just knew the price would get volatile hours before the rebate expired... and waited. I'm in no rush, being as AMD RS780 boards won't be available till early March. I lucked out and got it in at just the right time -- negative 5 cents AR. Too cool. At the time of my purchase there were about 400 pieces left in stock. Though I was in the process of posting the deal here, when the price shot up to $13 AR.

My co-worker was just about to get 4 sticks for a new PC he's building and the price shot up to $13AR literally seconds after I sent him the link.

Shitty!
