Edit: Nevermind, new rebate does not include 1GB sticks!

Do you have a link to the new rebate form? Is it OPT-25?

Thanks!

OPT-O25, but no 1GB sticks on there.

Ya, but 2gb sticks for $2.99 after rebate would be nice!!!!

Who is selling those 2gb sticks????

Just go to Froogle.com and enter PX977AT into the search box. Might sort by lowest price after you get the list.

Just make sure that it is an HP product as it seems that Kingston has a very similar part number (exact?).

unfortunately only the Kingston parts of the same number would make for a hot deal (2GB stick for ~$10 AR), just about all the HP ones are $50 and up meaning $30 per 2GB stick which isn't that hot, certainly not for DDR2 667...

although with the rebate good until April 30th, there's always hope the price will come down, there is even hope for the DDR2-800 sticks

gonna need to keep an eye out

Quick question everyone... I want to be sure I'm submitting the correct stuff for the rebate.

The serial number is on the stick of memory itself??

For the invoice/receipt, did you just submit the packing slip?? or something else?

And, for the barcode, a photo copy of the front or side of the box??

Thanks for the help!

Another question

The rebates asks you to circle the purchase price.... but the packing slip from Cost Central doesn't list the price, only the item description and shipping date...

Thanks!

EDIT:

I guess all my confusion comes from the fact that all 5 boxes of memory have the same exact UPC codes..... so should I just send in copies of all 5 boxes, even though the packaging is identical??

i made a copy of each box, put the 5 different sc numbers in the serial number portions of the form and circled the price on invoice printout from the cost central site. hopefully all goes well

What are you people doing about the fact that CostCentral doesn't show the actual HP part number PX976AT on the invoice, only their part code number?

I was going to include a copy of their product page off of their web site and circle both the HP product code number and their product code number, and hope that the rebate processor can make the leap and see that they are the same thing.

I bought mine @ CostCentral a few months back.
I sent in a copy of the invoice they e-mailed me & a scan of the packaging & I didn't have any problem. Got it in about 3 weeks.

Can I get the serial number off of CPU-Z? Or should I pull the memory stick out and look at it?

This has got to be the easiest rebate I've ever received. Mailed it in on 01/14/08 and I am about to deposit the check tomorrow.

Yeah, looks to be dead at the moment.. Due to a change in hardware, I wouldn't mind getting in on it a second time (got 4 sticks the first time). Wouldn't mind another 3-4 right now..

No, sorry, I meant that its in my computer. Should I pull the ram from my computer to get the serial number, or can I just get it from CPU-Z?

if you only have 2 dimms installed.

i'd just take a digital camera do a macro shot with flash and get the info that way instead of pulling out the sticks.

Can't believe I missed out on this deal. I picked up four sticks of the cheapish STT DDR2-800 as I wanted 8GB but man, 4 or 5 sticks of this would have made nice backup ram to have. I am almost tempted to buy them even now at their current $18 price with free shipping since that is not so bad...

There is a good chance that this deal will come up again, but if you want to spend full price you can get a better deal on pc6400 ram.

I didn't even bother with the photo copy, I just cut out the barcodes on the boxes and sent it all in. Got my rebate a couple of weeks later. I just put two stamps on the envelope instead of one.

Got mine today (2/22/08) mailed 1-28-08 - way less than 30 days. I doubt anyone will beat that any time soon. I mailed 3 coolermaster rebates near the end of Nov., 07 - still waiting. Called them today and perhaps a couple will be shaking loose soon. Guy on the phone said they had many more actually claim the rebates than expected - somewhere over 300,000 so there's a backlog... Well, not my fault C-M made absurdly high rebate offers or that the 690 sold like hotcakes. Though it is a decent case, the absurdly high rebates had a lot to do with its perceived popularity.
