I've had this camera for quite a while and I must admit that I'm slightly dissapointed. I took this camera to europe with me and ended up taking over 1000 pictures over a few months. The quality of the pictures is quite good and you can even take really good night pictures (turn off the flash and the exposure time automatically increases....but make sure you hold the camera completely still).
308nato is right about the batteries getting wasted rediculously fast if you use the lcd.
My biggest problem with the camera is that it takes a long time to take pictures. You have to hold down the button, and sometimes it takes a while for the camera to take the picture. Also, the read/write time to the compact flash takes a really long time. I think it's something like 8 seconds before you can even attempt to take another picture. I've even tried the fast-write compact flash stuff.
Overall, for this price, it's definately a good camera if you're going to be taking shots of stuff around the house and whatnot, but I found it to be a little too big to carry around in my pocket (little bigger than a disposable) and the read/write problem was the most annoying part.
THE BIGGEST PROBLEM that I've had is 1 instance where the batteries died while i was taking a picture. When i put new batteries in, the memory card was being read as empty. I lost my first 4 days in london from that.
