Sal - your recall is good. Roughly 30 minutes for a 2x speed for me. About 15 min for 4x. Your 38 minutes for a disk is whacked. I wrote an 8x disk yesterday, it took about 8 minutes.
If your burn has problems, and burnproof kicks in, so the burn pauses and starts again, the burn time can increase dramatically. I suspect that with 8X speed, people with marginal computers without extra memory and fast hard drives are going to encounter this problem.Originally posted by: quincy2002

Originally the +Rs were in-store only, so maybe that is why they sent you -R. On the negative side, the +R appear to be 4X Ricoh, which are supposed to be fantastic disks, whereas the -R are usually 2X.Originally posted by: cbrsurfr
Ordered +R's and they sent -R's. Anyone else have the same problem? I guess its no big deal because my dvd players can handle both formats.

FWIW.. FYI.. The links at Techbargains and Ebates aren't working. I had to pull a code from the Grande' Wallet forums. Just run a search for Office Depot and you'll find the coupon thread for a $25 off $75 coupon.
Also.. The deal is dead online for me. I HAD to choose in-store pick up because it wasn't adding it to my cart otherwise. Insufficient stock for online ordering. You guys probably knew that though.

1) Add 2 of either to your cart:
DVD-R 906-895
DVD+R 906-913
2) Select in-store pickup
3) Apply the B1G1F coupon code: 78479819 (it's posted on their website)
4) Find the $20 off $75 coupon code and apply it to your order - they emailed it to me.
Total should be $69.67 + Tax. Not sure about the quality of the media. I think I read in a previous hot deal that the +R are Ricoh and the -R may be CMC Magnetics. IMO, this is a hot price on media considering there are no rebates.
My store has never asked to see the coupon. Just out of curiousity, did you pay for them on-line? Maybe selecting cash or check as the payment method triggers more scrutiny. This did not work for me!!!!
[/quote]The manager who helped me was suspicious of the discount, too. $109 off can do that, I guess. He's the same guy who rejected the Philips DVD+R deal the week before (double B1G1 free glitch).Originally posted by: phvo2k

I made the online order for in-store pickup via e-bates using the $20 coupon and
the 2-for-1 coupon on OD website. When I came to pick up, the cashier told me
that I needed a printout of the coupon. I asked them to allow me to log into
my OD account, but could not figure out how to print out the coupon. I talked to
the store manager and he said OD requires a printout of the coupon, and at
the sametime, does not accept stackable coupon, and they have no affiliation
with E-bates.

That sucks. First you have Fry's and now this.. No wonder Mother Nature hates you guys. Some local stores are listing the price for a 50 spindle at 1/2 price (~$44) online when you select in-store pickup.
Yup. Then I simply asked for another set once I got to the store. CSR said "no problem".Originally posted by: pxc
Add 2 of the Imation DVD+R or DVD-R 50 pack spindles to your cart and change it to store pick up. Apply the B1G1 free code and it's $44 for 100. It doesn't work in many areas because not all stores are showing the price glitch.Originally posted by: zaku
